Great hat for Tennis
I've got five Tilley hats and this one I wear for tennis. Because I have to wash it frequently from sweating while playing tennis, I bought a second one. Protects my bald spot and the edges of my ears which always got sunburned when I wore a baseball hat. I've been wearing Tilley hats for thirty years or more and they are the best. I've even worn a couple out and had the company honor their replacement guarantee. I suspect that on these nylon hats they are no longer offering to replace them when they wear out, and maybe on all their other fabric hats, but no matter. The hats always last a long time. You will probably lose one before you wear it out. I have a hat similar to this one with a much wider brim and it is the best hat to wear on hot Texas days when you are working in the sun. Over all, Tilley offers a classic product and they are well worth the money.

If you've got a big head, this is your savior
I've got a ginormous head. There. I said it. I'm size 8 5/8, which puts me out of the range for most hats. I've been looking for ages for a hat that will fit on my melon. Adjustable baseball caps and the like aren't good. Sure, you can let out the strap so that they fit around a head like mine, but they still looks like a tiny clown hat on someone like me. Then I found this Tilley hat. It's designed to be extra-big and loose fitting for breathability, but for me, that means it doesn't look small on me. The adjustable chin/back strap kept it on my head just fine while airplane prop-wash blew from 20 feet away (volunteering on a flight line) so I'm confident that the strap will work perfectly in anything shy of a hurricane. I'm very pleased with my hat!

A hat that is worth every penny
My wife took a photo of me in the hat and sent it into a casting call. I was picked for a part in a movie as an extra. They took many close ups. In Pearl and Duke. I also gave a friend one of these and he looks great in it. He uses it in Florida all the time. You must use the strings in high winds. I was on two cruise's and would have lost it but the strings saved it. I love it. I get complimented when I go shopping "Nice Hat" frequently.

Husband LOVES it!
My husband is NOT a hat wearer but due to our frequent travel to the Middle East, I insisted he have a hot for sun protection. This is actually in place of another Tilley Hat he picked out. I was convinced he would not like but needed it for a trip. He LOVES it! Not too tight, lightweight to wear and offers great sun protection. I am so pleased with this hat!

Tilly Hat
I have one Tilly hat but the sides do not button up. This particular Tilly hat is one like my husband bought out at the air show in Oshkosh, WI years ago. He uses it all summer, especially when he is out sailing. I borrowed it one day recently when we were on a vacation and liked the way it buttoned up on the sides so I ordered one for myself, different color. I also like the way you can order the hat by size. Hats that come only one size are always too big for my head. If you don't want it secure under your chin, you can put the tie in the crown of the hat.

My favorite sun hat
This is a perfect had for travel; it folds flat in your suitcase. I remember how many hats I've had to leave behind because there was nowhere to put them. This light hat, has air vents, is washable, looks great, and even has an innovative back strap that keeps the hat on your head when a sudden gust comes up. I wore one to Egypt and it kept that blazing sun off my face the entire time. It's just one quality hat that you will be awfully glad to bought. Make sure you measure carefully for the right size. It should be a little loose.

Bought this for my husband who is thinning on top and chose Tilley on recommendation. He suffers in the summer and previous hats have made his head very hot. Searched around and this was the most competitive price and in the colour he wanted. Followed the head measurement instructions and hat fitted perfectly. Arrived in time, well packed, excellent quality and looks great. He is delighted, protected from the sun and head stays cool.

Ware super - Versand ganz schlecht
Der Hut passt perfekt. Leider wurde die breite Krempe zum Versand eingeknickt und hat jetzt Knickstellen. Ich werde versuchen ob dies mit leichtem Bügeln wieder zu reparieren ist. Schade, dass er nicht anders versandt wurde. Siehe Fotos. Falls es nicht funktioniert, würde ich den Hut zurück senden. Gibt es Seitens Amazon eine Empfehlung dazu?
