Intro to coding couldn’t be easier
Our daughter is in the second grade and her school has been introducing more technology-based lessons in the classroom. We want to get her started on coding (didn’t have this stuff back when I was in school) since it’s something we’re told is on the school’s radar, as they say. Connecting the unit to our Ipad was a bit of a process; wasn’t as much of a “plug n play” as I’d hoped. It took a few minutes to connect to our wi-fi; the interface during initial setup can use some updates to make it more intuitive. It also had to update, and that took about 10 minutes. But once we got past this it was smooth. The app is actually quite nice and the method by which the coding is introduced using a visual-based system was definitely effective. It didn’t take her long to understand the command and block functions and since the levels are unlocked through progression we feel good about her not blazing through all of the plans in a few hours. The AR identification could use some updates, too, as the camera will sometimes have trouble identifying Augie, which results in the app being a bit glitch, albeit temporary and it does pick up Augie once she re-positions the camera. The AR levels are definitely something that she can dive deeper into, and it is probably where the most learning experiences will be found. It’s an incredible feeling to see a 7 year old navigating through coding commands and linking blocks and building sequences. Ultimately, I give it 4 stars for now simply because of the way it introduces coding in a very well-thought out process and makes it a fun experience for her. The robot is well-built, and the app and lessons are spot on. What’s keeping this from being a 5 star review is the setup—it needs to improve, and hopefully they do this to make it easier for kids to get into the coding. If they ever do update this area, I’ll consider updating to 5 stars.

Augie cannot be set up, but it’ll gladly ask for your home network password
This Pai robot doesn’t work as advertised. I was unable to set it up, despite following the instructions, even watching the video on YouTube with the setup process. It was unable to connect on my home WiFi network. I even tried with my cell phone’s hotspot with no results. Besides, the fact one is providing the network and its password to a Chinese toy that’s then supposed to be connected to the internet it’s a suspect thing in itself! I had to return the toy. It simply doesn’t work. I don’t have time to tinker and make its Linux work. For the price it’s at, I guess it’s just a password collector. So I had to change them before returning it to Amazon. Disappointing shopping experience!

Can't charge robot
The robot no power when I initiate used it? and I charged it around 1 hour, it's still no power, the robot doesn't work. how can I get help?
