Remington Blades

If you shave or trim everyday, expect 3-4 months out the blades themselves. The foil cover lasts 6-8 months, if your lucky. Granted 20-25 dollars adds up, but it's cheaper than buying straight razor blades.

needs to be replaced way too often and is too epensive.

I don't usually write reviews but I had to in this case, this foil and cutter is absolute garbage. After about 4 months the foil starts breaking and gets holes in it which cut up your face. these should be able to last at least a year or longer and at $40 a pop it is just way too expensive to justify replacing considering the entire shaver is the same price. Do not buy the shaver or the replacement heads, it is a rip off.

Not happy.

This replacement foil and cutter set was priced at, from my perspective, a surprising high percentage of the cost of the entire razor when purchased new. But I figured it is what it is: I've never had to buy a replacement in all my years of shaving with various razors, until my latest razor eventually developed rips/holes in the foil. Painful. By the end of my second shave with the Amazon-purchased replacement foil, it had already developed holes in it. I can't see the point of doing this again; dollar-wise, it'd be wiser to just buy a new razor. Nope. Not happy at all.

New life for a faithful, dependable gadget

They say you should replace the foil and cutters combo yearly. I've stuck close to that guideline because I do find that the foil guard wears down over time. Price was about the cheapest I could find. You could argue that the money is better spent putting toward a new shaver but I don't like the idea of adding more e-waste than is absolutely necessary. I've been satisfied with the shaver + cutters for 5+ years now. I'll probably keep using it until it dies (probably when the battery can no longer hold a charge).

As new replacements, just feels overpriced.

Purchased to replace parts worn thru in my elderly fathers razor. Was happy to see the parts were available, I think that’s a good idea and helps extend longevity of goods and keeps otherwise functioning items out of landfill. The only complaint I have is that these parts are clearly inexpensive to manufacture and are highly marked up.

Replacing the old head made a great difference.

I noticed the occasional pulling on facial hair with the old razor head. I noticed in the instructions that a replacement should be considered after 12 months. Sure enough, it was almost a year since I got it, and when I put the new one on the shaver, the difference was notable - a faster shave, no more pulls. Just maintenance, like every device needs, and the cost was reasonable.
