Fit Perfect
Easy to install and fit perfectly. It did seem to have a bit of misalignment in the gears when spun by hand about halfway through it gets. caught up and feels sticky. I took it apart and added wheel bearing grease, put back together and felt smooth.

Does work with Troy-Bilt TB25ET
So after calling around to troy-bilt and MTD the only answer I could get was this will not work with my weed eater and I would have to buy the manufactured one from them for $90 bucks.. So I decided to do my measurements and try it out anyways.. YES it does work perfectly with the Toy-Bilt TB25ET FYI it does not have a guard on it and you will have to buy that separately but worked perfectly for the upgraded gearhead.. I would suggest to respool it with your own line as the line it comes with is very cheap and breaks quickly inside the head..

Arrived promptly and as pictured. Excellent replacement for my broken gearbox however, self tapping screws (included) would not self tap and seat so I used the screws removed from my damaged gearbox and all went well. Suggest manufacturer supply better screws with the product. This is why I rated product 4 of 5 stars. Have used product several times without problems.

Good Replacement
Everything fit good and worked great. Only thing is I had bit of problem starting screws supplied with item. They are not pre -drilled. Just take time and just keep inserting screw with screw driver and it will titghten up.

The replacemeent gear box was a perfect fit. The piolet hole needed to be drilled into the shaft and the screw provided tapped the gear box and into the shaft with no effort

Vibrates
Seemed like a good idea to replace the whole head unit when line bump cap was worn. This unit vibrates and out of balance. Replacing the line didn't help. I would say this is not as well made as the original unit was.

CHINA JUNK
This product is junk worked for the first 20 minutes after that wouldn't bump no more to get the string out. Bump knob won't unscrew. Garbage. Don't bother buying these products.

worked perfectly on weed eater, purchased a second one for backup.

Hole not tapped
Just received it and went to install it. The hole in the casting is not tapped as described by other purchasers. I just used the bolt from my broken assembly to tap the hole. Just line it up properly and it works perfect.
