I love the looks, from a distance…but quality is lacking

I absolutely love the look of Kingston Brass products and was determined to get these into my new build, despite the rep at Ferguson advising against it. And so i did. And when I took it out of the box, I was impressed with the design and how heavy it felt. It looks so pretty. But, the black finish was literally rubbing off after ONE use. One. Like, it had been installed within the month, I moved in, wasn’t even unpacked, took A (one) shower, and it looked like this. Every place on the slide bar where we stop the handle - scuff. The little ball thing that holds it - scuffed. I’m pretty disapppointed.

So disappointed

I was so excited when I found this adjustable shower bar. I have a 6'7" son in the house so having a shower to fit him was the plan. I purchased it a few months ago but just got to finishing the bathroom renovation recently. The bar is actually very good quality. It is the shower arm itself that leaves me shaking my head. The lowest possible position to bend the showerhead down literally points vertically across to the other side of the shower. I did show this weird angle in the provided photo, but I assumed it would be adjustable to bend it down over your head. I wish I had taken a closer look when I received it as I would certainly have returned it .
