Overjoyed

Our son ordered it with gift money. He was super excited for the hippo to arrive and waited by the window for the Amazon truck. Once the hippo arrived it was even better than he had imagined. He's thrilled. It's the perfect addition for anyone how loves hippos

Child hated getting a hippopotamus for Christmas

My 7 year old heard the song "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" on the radio and went off on how stupid this was, where would you put it, we didn't have a pool. etc. I asked him if he wanted a hippo for Christmas "NO!" So I found this product and ordered it because it looked so realistic. When it arrived, I checked it out. It was very well done and had some very nice details to make it look realistic. It got wrapped and put next to the tree. When the 7 year old opened it, he was confused at first, started to cry and then go angry. He wanted nothing to do with it. Everyone else thought it was cute. By the end of the present open, it had been passed off to his 18 year old sister who loved it. Several days later he made me promise not to ever do anything like that again. I told him I could not and he will probably see more 'meant to be funny gifts'. So the gift was a failure, but the hippo is very life like, detailed and very cute. It also seems very study and well built.

Makes a great roommate

I had one of these adorable stuffed hippos from a previous purchase from a toy store a few years ago. But Bernice (the hippo) needed a companion, so I decided to buy a new hippo friend for her- Bernard. I am so glad I made this purchase! They are the best of friends and make lovely roommates.

Put a smile on my Granbaby’s face!!

My 3year old Granddaughter learned the song All I Want for Christmas is a Hippopotamus!! So my other Granddaughter who is 7 found this she showed me and we ordered it together! The GRANDBABIES put on a presentation and the little sang her song then her Dister surprised her with her Hippo!! Such Beautiful Memories to be remembered by all!! The Hippo has such a sweet face and is big we got pics from Christmas with all of us with the Hippo for Christmas!!

Exactly What I Wanted!!

My 2yo son loves this hippo! We have the Melissa & Doug sea turtle and shark, which he’s loved since he was 1 yo. So, I actually purchased the hippo & penguin for our younger son (1 yo). Unfortunately for my youngest, his older brother took over the hippo. It’s sturdy enough for him to sit on, but it’s somehow still soft and kind of cuddly.

Great! The fur itself is soft but the hippo is stuffed full

Really like this hippo! Like I said the fur itself is very soft but the animal is stuffed well so it ends up being great for support if that's what you're using it for. Also looks real! Great animal all around. Stands on its own as well.

Fantastic Hippo

This is one of the best stuffed animals I've purchased. So anatomically accurate from the eyes, to the wrinkle in the face, the nostrils of contrasting colour which you can stick your finger into, and the tuft on the end of the tail. Well made and although substantial it is not too large for my 8 year old granddaughter to carry with her and sleep with!! Absolutely thrilled with my purchase!

I bought this for my daughter who is getting too strong to give people hugs It is heavy and solid enough to endure her bear hugs. You can even poke his nostrils . She is heavy and sturdy enough to be used on laps which provides pressure to sooth and calm

Lovely Hippo

I ordered this for my 3 year old grandson for Christmas and he is going to love it. It's so velvety soft and really bigger than I expected. I also ordered a safari dress up outfit to go with it.
