5'7" 135 lbs pre-pregnancy. Ordered medium size EDIT: Have removed a star after a few years of use. The belly fabric has deteriorated over time in ways that other maternity pants haven't, and I've noticed that this particular belly fabric makes loose shirts stick to it (which is NOT favorable when you're trying to hide the post pregnancy baby fat and can still only fit in your maternity clothes!). The bottom part of these pants are PERFECT and I still highly recommend these for workout purposes. Original review: Since price and quality usually go hand in hand, I was extremely skeptical with these; most maternity fitness bottoms that I was looking at were, bare minimum, twice the price. My budget, already overloaded with the massive amount of baby items I have to buy in the next few months, is what pushed me to take the risk. Since I usually fit in the medium category, that's what I ordered. I was looking for good fitness pants that were sturdy enough for low-impact jogging, not just the yoga pants that are oh-so-popular during pregnancy. These aren't Prime eligible, so they showed up 9 days after the order; not too bad, all things considering. When I pulled them out of the bag, my heart sank. They looked far too small for me. Cursing myself for not getting two sizes up, I shoved my legs in, fully expecting them to not make it any higher than my mid-thigh. To my complete surprise, they slid on with ease, feeling soft and breathable, yet sturdy and supportive at the same time. My next thought was that the amount of stretching that these had to go through must come with that all too familiar and terrible side effect of being extremely see-through. I looked at these from every angle, in several stretched poses, and in various lighting situations. I wasn't able to see my bright pink underwear at all, no matter what I did. I even grabbed a section and pulled it tighter than necessary, and still couldn't see anything! The only issue I was running into was that the fabric for the belly area hitched up pretty high. Even though I'm taller than average, when the pants were fully on the top could be tucked in slightly under my training bra. I was at 20 weeks at the time, so my belly was starting to noticeably push out. I recognized that my stomach still has a lot of significant growth to do, so this amount of material is definitely needed. I folded over the fabric a few inches and it stayed pretty well, so that was an easy fix. Just 4 weeks later, the end rests right at the top of my bump, with plenty of stretchable fabric to accommodate for the upcoming third trimester. I've used these pants a few times a week since I purchased them almost a month ago. On top of using them for low-impact jogging, yoga, and other doctor-approved workouts, they're extremely comfortable for just lounging around the house, and nice enough to wear like regular pants/leggings with cute sandals/sneakers and a blouse. I am ecstatic with how this purchase turned out, and am excited to wear these during my whole pregnancy and for future pregnancies too!
