Nová koža pre starú klasiku: toto sú naše ikonické 8-oké dámske čižmy z mäkkej, pružnej kože Nappa. V kombinácii s odolnou, ale rafinovanou podrážkou poskytujú topánky bezkonkurenčné pohodlie zmiešané s ostrým štýlom. Dr. Martens je predmetom legiend. Všetko sa to začalo neďaleko nemeckého Mníchova v roku 1945, keď si Dr. Klaus Maertens zranil nohu pri lyžiarskej nehode v bavorských Alpách. Na uľahčenie chôdze počas procesu hojenia navrhol topánku s podrážkou so vzduchovým odpružením. Pomocou starých gumených pneumatík skonštruoval podrážky, ktoré mali vzduch zachytený v uzavretých priestoroch. Svoj prototyp ukázal svojmu priateľovi inžinierovi/vynálezcovi Dr. Herbertovi Funckovi a spoločne sa rozhodli vyvinúť a vyrobiť topánky. Topánka nielenže vyriešila okamžitý problém lekára, ale začala sa dobre predávať aj v Nemecku. V roku 1959 sa obaja rozhodli, že potrebujú spoločnosť na výrobu a distribúciu obuvi, ktorá sa vtedy volala Dr. Maertens, v iných častiach sveta. Mnoho výrobcov spočiatku odmietlo koncepciu podrážky so vzduchovým odpružením ako krátkodobý trik. Spoločnosť R. Griggs Group so sídlom v dedinke Wollaston v Anglicku sa však rozhodla ísť s myšlienkou a vytvorila prvú pracovnú obuv s revolučnou podrážkou. Prvého apríla 1960 bola vyrobená prvá čerešňovočervená pracovná obuv s ôsmimi očkami a pomenovaná 1460. Aby sa značka lepšie predávala v Anglicku, názov bol poangličtinovaný na Dr. Martens. Sortiment bol označený ako AirWair a zvyšok je história.

Sizing was a bit small.

Update: The size 8 fit better for my daughter who is a 7 1/2. It is just slightly longer than we wanted but the width is just perfect for her feet. Original Review: Upon putting on one of the shoes, my daughter said it felt tight (narrow). We did not even try on the other shoe. We ordered the size 7 as per the sizing chart. The length was just right although could have used some more room. Because of this we requested a return and ordered a size 8 for her. Hopefully, the size 8 would be a better fit and not be too big. She was initially so excited getting this but got disappointed finding that it was small especially after waiting days for it to arrive.

Looks great with almost anything

These boots are fantastic. They're waterproof and fit perfectly. It took a little while to break them in so they weren't so stiff, but other than that they're been great and versatile!

Kind of weird sizing? Also, Dr. Martens manufactures in China, it’s not fake lol

Reviews said they were true to size…I wear 6.5-7 in women’s usually, ordered a 7 cause they don’t do half sizes. Most people size up when they don’t have half size options. I wouldn’t really say they’re too big, they aren’t necessarily loose and don’t slip off or down when I walk, it’s just that the toe box feels very very big, while everything else feels the right size. Some places online say to size down if you’re a half size. Some say size up. I truly cannot tell if these are too big, or if I look like I’m wearing clown shoes or not. Nevertheless, I hate returning things and they’re not uncomfortable or unwearable, so I think I’ll hang on to them. Maybe I’ll get used to the size, I just hope it doesn’t become too big when they’re broken in. (Side note, for everyone complaining they’re fake cause they’re made in China, I’m begging you to just take 30 seconds and google. They manufacture from China in addition to the UK and Thailand. This store is the Dr martens store. The description says imported origin. It’s your fault at this point lol. If you don’t properly review what you’re buying and end up with an actual fake product, that’s still on you. Be a smarter shopper lmao)

No Box?

I love Docs and have owned them since I was in high school, I just wish that since I paid full price through Amazon that they could have come in the Doc Box and not a clear plastic bag.

Style and comfort

I ordered the black doc martens “like new” for 120.00. There was a small flaw in grain of leather……but not visible unless one was inspecting them. Other than that, they are perfect. I saved 80.00 and love them….they also had a free return, just in case.

These are the perfect everyday boots. Much more comfortable than I expected, usually leather boots need to be “worked in” but not these. The sizing is spot on (I am size7) and if you’re like me and need a wider toe, these are perfect. No scrunched little piggies!

Perfect fit, almost no blisters (I expected more)

These docs are premium quality and came exactly as described, I'd recommend purchasing these. I went with a half size larger than I am (I'm 10.5 women's, went with an 11) and the boot fit perfectly. Not loose nor tight. The colour is marvellous.

Not happy

I was so gutter as this was a present. The boots had clearly been worn and came dirty with white marks on them. The actually leather on the boots had evidence of this. Sent back for a full refund
