Better than most!
They work great and they are soft and comfortable. I thought I had bigger ears than most but it turns out that even if that is the case - he ultra soft ones are much more comfortable even if some say they fit slightly looser. Both pairs are great but the ultra soft are better for sleeping.

Does the job
Mack’s is a pretty reputable brand when it comes to their top notch ear plugs. I seldom have to use these unless I am traveling. The earplugs come in handy. They are easy to use and can be used a few times before tossing them out. The earplugs mold easily to your ear canal once you are able to get them in. I have no issues with noise or removing the item from my ears.

My happy place.
These cancel the most noise of any plug I've used in the past. I love them. When I really don't want to hear my environment I'll put my noise-canceling headphones playing brown noise on and turn it all the way up (with the plugs in protecting my hearing) and I couldn't hear a tornado siren if I was standing on top of it. When I was a teacher, I'd sometimes put these in loosely so I can hear enough to keep kids safe but it'd help protect me from getting overwhelmed with sensory overload.

Too small
Bought these for sleeping but they weren’t super comfortable and I couldn’t get a good fit. Ended up buying a different brand that I get fit better which meant better noise reduction

I had a baby 7 months ago and every night for 7 months I'm kept awake between a baby treating me like a human pacifier and my spouse snoring. I've become such a light sleeper due to the baby and was never bothered by snoring before. These arrived yesterday and not once last night was I woken up by a snoring man, but they're sensitive enough for me to have woken up to nurse the baby twice. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

Read the instructions!
A few folk have said that they don't block out any noise, but that's not true if you follow the instructions. 'Instructions? For ear-plugs?' all non-instruction-reading-people may shout . . . . . . but I can't hear them, cos' I followed the instructions. You twist the plug, pull back the top of your ear, using your oposing hand ( 'oposing' means 'the other one' in this instance, non-instruction-reading-people) and insert the plug. You'll feel it squirm and wriggle as it unwinds, sealing your ear cavity in the process, and then [a barely audible] 'Kablam!' You have now correctly inserted your ear-plugs and can hardly hear anything above the roar of your own smugness. These really do work – if you follow the instructions – don't just shove them in your ear any old way; they'll fall out, not block-out any noise and you'll wish you'd read the instructions before wasting your money. They're soft (oh, so soft!), plug your ears (oh, those ears!) and there are 50 pairs (oh those pears!) in the pack for (I can't remember) a tenner? They really actually do work.

Fantastic at blocking out noise, if a little uncomfortable
Started wearing earplugs at the start of this year. Took me a few months to find these, and at first I didn't like them, but they grew on me. They're quite a bit shorter than some other foam plugs you'll find on Amazon, but it's something I've gotten used to. They aren't too comfortable after a nights use. I usually wake up with sore ears, but I'd rather that than not being able to sleep. They're fine for a few hours, but I'm fast asleep before then, so don't notice any discomfort until morning. It usually wears off within a minute or so after taking them out. With my most recent order, the plugs were coated in a slippery, oily substance which hadn't happened before. It actually made them more comfortable - I didn't wake up with sore ears in the morning. But, it made them a lot more difficult to get out. I have to use a tissue to get a grip on the plug to pull it out, otherwise it just slips through my finger nails. They're amazing at blocking out sound. I don't think I'll ever go back to not wearing ear plugs. We have really noisy electric radiators in our house, so it's impossible for me to sleep without them.

Great for Small Ears.
First impression, the tub is way smaller than I expected. It's about the height and width of a wallet, which is great cause it fits neatly on my bedside table. These earplugs are great, especially for my small ears. As long as you put them in properly using the whole roll it up and pull your ear back technique. They don't block out all noise but they do a damn good job of dampening it. I live next to a busy carriageway and cannot usually stand to have the windows open at night but for a few weeks I have been sleeping blissfully with the windows open. I don't have sore ears or anything so they are definitely soft enough. The reason for 4 stars is because a few of them have manufacturing faults such as dips which make them dud and leftover bits, presumably from the mold. Side note: My cat sits and waits for me to wake up and take them out hoping I will forget to stick them in the little pot I got with a previous pack of macks. He thinks they are the best toys ever....

Tried them all, these are the best
I need earplugs for sleeping as I live on a busy road. I ran my own experiment and tried about 10 different earplugs on Amazon (including 5 types from Mack’s) and these came out the winner. They’re very comfortable for me (side sleeper), super effective at blocking out noise and within my budget. Would recommend to all. Note Mack’s have small packets of each type you can buy if you want to experiment.

Good basic earplugs
I've found these work well in comparison to other ear plugs and are great value when bought in packs of 50 or more. I use these to help me sleep and have found that I drift off very quickly. They work well enough to shut out traffic and in house noise completely in my case. There are other more specialised earplugs on the market but whats the point in using them when the original product works so well? The only downside is that sometimes I take them out in my sleep and find them on the bed the next morning. Fortunately I'm not too concerned about that as they have still done their job and improved my sleep.
