It does come with the key.

Product was exactly as advertised. I wasn't sure when I ordered them but they did each come with the key in the box. Very good price for this product.

Has the Leviton quality, just missing the key. Buyer beware.

I'm quite familiar with this type of switch. The ones sold in stores all had the special key needed included in the box. Since no stores in my area now carry this type of lockable-switch, I had to resort to Amazon. I was expecting that the key would be in it when it arrived, however, I was disappointed to find that it was missing. It's easily lost, as it can slip out of the box during transport. I thought I had a spare one somewhere amongst my things here at home, but haven't been able to find it, so I was forced to spend more money on a separately sold one. I am not happy about that, but you NEED this special key for this switch to work, otherwise it is useless. So, buyer beware, please make sure to check for the long slender key with the bend at the end the moment you receive this. I didn't have time to deal with refunds, as I needed to install this for a friend. It's in now and with the separate key having arrived, works as expected. I always trust Leviton switches, quite reliable. 5 stars for the Switch, 3 stars for having to order the special key separately, that averages out to 4 star overall rating.

Does a great job

This switch is perfect where you don't want people turning the lights off and on constantly. A good example is fluorescent lighting were the lamp life shortened due to constant cycling. While I concede the switch is pricey, in comparison to new lamps, it's the labour that needs to be accounted for. This is a robust switch and comes complete with the key required to operate it. Delivery was quick and easy.
