Nice handle, shipped horribly

Happy with the finished product, but could have been a disaster due to the way it was shipped. As other reviews have said, make sure you get the correct interior handle set. For whatever reason they don’t offer this is a package. Also, check to make sure you have everything as soon as you take delivery. My exterior handle was shipped in a box that wasn’t even taped shut. Luckily I had everything I needed. At the end of the day it’s a good looking handleset and installation isn’t bad as long as you follow the instructions. Just don’t over tighten the plates on the door side the latches like to get stuck if you do.

Beautiful finish

This item did not fit my door, however I will say that this Kwikset Handleset is by far the best I've looked at. Sad it dod not fit the door...

Warning: Ensure you match interior/exterior models correctly!

Warning! The interior model suggested to purchase (Kwikset 966HFL Halifax Single Cylinder Interior) with this Exterior San Clemente (99180-006) does not work together at all (interior pins are in different locations). Plus, since I purchase via Builder.com more than 30 days ago, they don't refund or swap out for the correct model (purchase a few months ago, but doors are the last piece in the remodel; thus, the dealy). Had to file a Amazon A-Z claim, which helps a bit! Anyway, ensure that you get the 971HFL SQT26 Interior deadbolt/handle to go with the Exterior 99180-006 San Clemente. Geez, wish they were all just sold together (interior and exterior units). They are beautiful pieces that are quality materials; thus the 3 stars, but it was a hassle dealing with Builder.com (even had to call the manufacturer to get it all straightened out, and Builder.com even gave me the wrong phone number for that) -- thank goodness Amazon is making it right.)

Buyer be WARNED!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE interior Handleset suggested by Amazon! Read details in product description and purchase: Kwikset 99710-013 Single Cylinder Interior Pack Only with Halifax Lever For Signature Series Low Profile Handle In Iron Black I am only giving this a 4 star because of the difficulty finding the correct interior set. Better for Kwikset to just sell as one whole unit; otherwise, this is a beautifully stunning product. Matte Black not Bronze which is perfect.

Solid metal and SmartKey

The handle set makes a real statement on my front door. The latch operates very smoothly with very little force required. I changed all my entry doors to Kwikset so I could take advantage of the SmartKey feature. One key in my pocket instead of three.

Finish didn’t last long.

The finish lasted about 8 months. Door is in a well protected area from elements. Doesn’t get rained on and doesn’t get more than a couple hours of sun exposure. Door is also hardly ever used. It’s fairly humid where we live, but you’d expect something that’s supposed to be outdoors (especially a door handle) to last a few years before you see any wear on the finish.

Installed for 2 years. Still Operating. Complimented constantly. Glad i went with chrome. Adds a classy amount of zazzle to the front door. Love that i can key it myself easily. if i go out of town, i have a different set of keys that i use for my dog sitter. When i get home, i change it back.

Thw package is missing the N, fastners as well as R1, R2 and S items. In addition, while i was expecting it not to include the interior lever, the deadbolt interior part should have included. Also the dedbolt exterior part has a small scratch Pls advise
