Travels VERY well. Holds more than you think. Durable.
21” size – UPDATED REVIEW I have been traveling with this bag for 9 months now and have run this bag through 18 flights to-date. I will try to answer as many questions as I can in this review. I just measured my bag: Exterior dimensions of the “21 inch” bag: 22 x 15 x 8" INCLUDING THE WHEELS and hand handle with the telescoping handle folded in. Internal packing area: 15.5 x 13.5 x 6.0". This can be increased to 15.5x13.5x7.0. by unzippering the center zipper. G, which is a good idea for road travel but not a good idea for flying. If you fly a large jetliner, it makes no difference. If, however, you are flying a regional jet, they have a depth limit of 9". It is easy to stuff your bag in such a way that the soft side presses out more than 9". If you don't extend your case, it is easy to squish the side to make it fit, but if you have extended the case to 9" and then overstuff it, the bag will wind up checked on those "RJ" jets. Will it fit overhead?: Most aircraft? - Yes. Small regional jets?- Actually it will but they may make you gate check it anyway. Will this fit under the seat: Usually not. The outer pocket is good for items up to 13.5 x 12.5 x 1". The pocket is actually 15" high but because of the zipper placement, I call the useful pocket height 13.5" There has been a lot of speculation in the reviews as to how much this case can hold and how durable it will be in the long run. The durability of the canvas-like cloth exterior has been excellent and it wipes clean when the airlines are abusive. In the 9 months that I have owned this bag, it has been on 18 flights; some as carry on and a few as checked luggage. It has been to the Mountains of Montana, the remote southern deserts, and the "wilds" of Las Vegas. Despite the wobbliness of the handle, it holds up very well and is easy to operate. I am careful to pack right and I've never had a tip-over issue. The wheels have worked well on tile, linoleum, carpet, concrete, asphalt, dirt, and snow. My typical load is 5 days' worth of clothes, toiletries, and "paperwork," plus a large (weekly planner type). And, I have never opened the expansion section. Isn't 15.5 x 13.5 x 6.0" rather small? Well, that depends on how and what you pack. If you lay your clothes in and load as you go, then yes, this is a small bag. However, if you pack like me (roll everything up then pack it, then hang your clothes up on the other end) this bag is all you need. On a trip a few weeks ago, I packed 6 days-worth of clothes, including a suit and a change of shoes, into the main compartment without extending it. I put my 3-1-1 (toiletry bag) in the side pocket with my itinerary and placed this bag in the overhead. Without the suitcoat, I could have gotten a laptop in there too. As was, I was able to carry a "pad" and a few small souvenirs or snacks in the side pouch. If you carry curlers or a blow dryer, though, you will only get 2-3 days-worth in there. Also, pack evenly or the bag may be off balance when standing. Empty weight: 5.5 pounds Length from wheels to top of extended handles: 42” Outside pockets: 1 (the other zipper is to expand the capacity) Are the wheels removable? No Will a laptop fit in the front pocket?: No, but an iPad will. How many total wheels? 4 Can I use a TSA padlock?: Yes

Light weight and a good clean look
It's quite basic and lacks features such as a zippered lining, and has only one fairly useless external pocket. But it does the job it says it will do. I took it on three trips and then sold it for 75% of what I bought it for, so I'm satisfied.

Initial thoughts on unboxing + UPDATE!
An important note: I just got this yesterday. Haven't brought it on any trips yet. This is also my first time getting rolling luggage for carry-on. That being said, here's what I have to say after a first look, quick testing, and measurements: Exterior: Outside of the luggage looks great, material seems to be durable (at least enough for carry-on rather than being thrown into checked luggage). Outside zipper for things you might need easy access to. Second zipper allows for some expansion - I would say about or less than an inch? It's a little hard to tell. Third zipper opens the main compartment of the luggage - has an option for a lock if you want to use one, but does not come with one included. One handle on the top and one on the side for carrying. Wheels roll just fine on smooth wood and also on an area rug with texture. Exterior Measurements: This was what I was most worried about. I got the 21" luggage and (measured with wheels included) got measurements ~20.5×14.5×9. I tried overstuffing the main compartment with pillows and blankets, and I think if you don't expand the 2nd compartment, it will squish down enough to fit 9". The handle extends about 17" above the top of the luggage - I'm about 5'5" and this is at a comfortable height, slightly shorter than elbow height. The wheels are about 3" tall. Inside: Zippered section on the inside of the flap. Buckled straps to hold/compress your stuff. The diagonal measurement of the inside of the actual storage area is about 21". It was a bit hard to take these measurements since the inside liner material doesn't take the exact form of the shell of the luggage, but as flat as I could get it at the floor of the whole space, I got around 18"×14"×7" (7" depth at the very top, you can overstuff it a bit and it'll still zip closed). Like others have said, the main compartment does not take advantage of the space/area between the wheels. I'm excited to try this, as the last trip I took, I was lugging my duffel bag over my shoulder for a couple miles, and I really don't want to mess up my back somehow. Hope this works out! Will be sure to post an update when I do get some travel time in with it. UPDATE: Just took this on a 10-day trip, and oh man I should have gotten this way sooner. It was a great size for the overhead compartment on Southwest - it was able to fit in the compartment either sideways or with the handle sticking out towards the aisle no problem. This luggage, combined with the compression packing cubes I bought, held everything I needed + more (I'm still struggling with packing light!). It seems that every so often the wheels will want to drift a slightly different direction, but it's not a problem if you just hang onto the handle. Overall, I am very happy with this suitcase, and am so glad I don't have to worry about running around with a heavy duffel slung over one shoulder anymore!

Just what I wanted!
This is a very nice, reasonably priced, sturdy roll-on with several nice touches, including 3 sturdy handles for lifting, even underneath. Because I've been very pleased by the quality and low prices of Amazon Basics products, I always choose them when available. Good job!

No California Proposition 65 warning is good
Luggage is stylish, and good; but don't like the Amazon logo showing on each piece.

Quality and value
Last year I borrowed a spinner cabin bag from a friend and was so impressed that I decided to get my own. The one I borrowed was from a well-known luggage brand, but that particular style had been discontinued and there didn’t seem to be an obvious replacement (even their customer services weren’t sure). I wasn’t sure about paying a lot for something that may be similar but not the same so I was very pleased to find this AmazonBasics case for a much lower price that fulfilled all my criteria - spinner (4-wheel) case, additional handle on the base for easy lifting, soft body and concealed name and address tag. The navy blue option had not been released when I ordered but it has been worth the wait as the colour is great and makes it slightly more recognisable. On inspection the appearance of the case belies its low price tag - the fabric is obviously strong and durable and the zip pulls are larger than average, giving the appearance of strength and practicality. The handles are comfortable to hold and the interior is spacious and well lined. All-in-all this case represents quality and value - the only thing I would take issue with from the description is “4 double wheels”. There are certainly 4 wheels which rotate as well as revolve so the case can be pulled in every direction, but I can’t see how they could be described as double. Other “double wheel” cases have two small wheels side by side at each wheel point but this definitely does not. All of this is obviously on first inspection and I may update my review to include information on how well it functions when full and in use but for now I am more than happy with my choice. It may not be identical in every detail to the branded case I borrowed (eg it has only two compartments additional to the main interior, and there is a choice of only 2 colours) but it certainly has all my “must-have” features for a much more affordable cost.

Holds a large amount of kit, handles well, conventional-looking case
Just the job, right size for EasyJet, though I wouldn't use the expanded capacity for cabin baggage. I was happy with the way it moved, I rolled it around the airport and the city of Glasgow with ease. Four-wheeled spinner cases are worth every penny, and this one is very generously sized. I managed to pack in it: a pair of climbing boots, a climbing harness and boots, a frock for a wedding, toiletries, a couple of books, and a selection of clothes to wear on a four-day trip! All this without using the expander zip! If I was putting it in the hold, I'd use a coloured luggage strap to identify it because small black cases are ten a penny on the conveyor belt. Glad I chose this one, it wasn't the cheapest, but it looks as if it will last.

Good quality, good wheels, good price (shame about the label.)
Good quality bag, and a good price. I like the front zip pocket, and the spinner wheels work smoothly. They are such a plus on a bag, worth the bit extra on the cost; if you've ever trundled along with cheap wheels, you'll know what I mean! It's a soft side case, but with a frame that will protect contents if you are unlucky and they bump it into the hold (other reviews are clear that it is the right measurement for easyjet, which is my next flight, but it does happen sometimes if flight is very full.) The navy is a nice change from the usual black. I've knocked one star off the full five because I really dislike the Amazon Basics badge on the front. It's not removeable.

One of the best and smallest wheeled suitcases - great for carry on luggage
If you want a very small case that can provide enough capacity for a few days business clothing, a pair of shoes, toiletries a 14” laptop and a few smaller items then this is a great choice. The case is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre with its 4 wheels or on 2 wheels if you want. It is a well constructed case and uses typical case type fabrics outside and lining. The 4 wheels glide well and so far have stood up to multiple surfaces from marble floors to uneven cobbles. The slide handle is good and seems to have a robust mechanism. The case also has a fabric handle that is wide and padded enough to make it easy to carry and lift up the case. I have used this case as carry on luggage for British Airways European flights and it has always been accepted and fits within the allowable dimensions. I have also checked this at Airports for EasyJet, Ryanair, Lufthansa and TUI using the case size gauge frames and it fits comfortably with approximately 3-4 centimetres to spare around the case. I think this case would not work as well for a weeks holiday and would suggest using the next size up in this range. All in all this is a great choice for one of the smaller cases I have seen available and despite the Amazon Basics branding it is far from basic and is as good if not better than some more expensive and premium brands.
