It really is black
Image shows an oil rubbed bronze color, description says ORB black, which is not exactly clear; what is oil rubbed bronze black? I wasn't sure what I would get. Turns out, it is black, or possibly very dark brown/black. I ordered this one because it was very clear on other specifications, and I knew it would fit the sink I was having installed. It's reassuringly solid, heavy, and it came with a translucent silicone ring that masks the black color when placed against a solid glass bowl sink. Works perfectly, as promised.

Good product, color just a bit off.
Although the Amazon and OEM packaging states oil; rubbed bronze, the color is closer to a black shade (Hence the 4 stars). However, the ring will be between the blue vessel sink and the gray marble top, so it makes a nice distinctive break between, the two colors. Basically overnight shipping was worth the cost, now the bathroom redo can go on..

Very high quality
This vessel ring is of very high quality. Some reviewers have stated it is black. I submit that yes it is dark, it is very much like a nice piece of oiled rubbed bronze artwork, which can appear to be very dark in color. This ORB ring enhances the vessel sink by making the mounting very stable and adding to the beauty of your sink. Highly recommend. You will enjoy the quality.

Nice ring but not for copper vessel sink
This is a very nice looking and heavy ring. It has a nice rubber o-ring on the bottom to grip the countertop surface. It also has a milky-colored silicon washer on top for gripping the sink. I would have loved to have used this, but it did not work for my sink, https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00Z6S2XME, because the angle of the bevel does not match. It would be nice to have more description of the angle of the bevel or more examples of what types of sinks it works with. But it definitely will not work the the copper vessel sink listed.

Black Not Oil Rubbed Bronze
I am giving these 3 stars only because the description is wrong. They are Black Not Oil Rubbed Bronze. No body will ever see this under the sink but it could matter to someone so they need to get it right. They cost too much in my opinion but get the job done.

amazing item for vessel sink!
This mounting ring, is absolute necessity if you going with a vessel sink. Mine is 16" round sink that you can see through mounted on the granite top - and its absolutely amazing what a different look and mounting job this ring does, i was extremely surprised and happy to make this purchase.

ORB Vessel Mounting Bowl Ring
Finely tooled mounting ring in Oil Rubbed Bronze. Bronze color is on the light-bronze side as opposed to being very dark. Works great.

Required for mounting round glass vessel sinks.
I would have given a 5 start review except that I think this product should be included with every sink that requires it. I bought my sink and when I went to install it, this rather critical piece had to be ordered separately otherwise the sink does not sit still, in place. It was rather nicely made though from machined metal and not plastic. I would indeed buy this and another glass vessel sink. Love em!
