Best quality hand tools!

Let me start by saying that I HATE snap rings. I have a machine that requires a rebuild about every 2 weeks of operation, and the assembly that requires the rebuild has 96 #@&$ing snap rings holding it together. Yeah, 96. The craptastical ones I had bought from the autoparts store ended up embedded in a wall after being thrown across the shop in frustration. These Knipex brand pliers are worth way more than their asking price. Seriously. If you only need to deal with snap rings once in a blue moon, the generic crap ones should be fine. If you do it regularly, buy an entire SET of knipex pliers. You, and your sanity will thank me.

Poor tips that bend after 10-15 uses.

Tips wore out faster than expected. I take apart a fair amount of motorcycle transmissions, which means a lot of very small snap rings that need to be removed. Didn't get more than 10-15 snap rings removed before one of the tips bent, which is the death knell for snap ring pliers. Would not recommend, have had much better luck and lifespan with cheap $5 pliers.
