Very nice quality; inconsistent sealing behind escutcheons...
Let me begin with a few of my thoughts about the appearance: As expected, the level of finish is very high polish that's virtually defect free. A minor detail, the (center) diverter handle that came with my kit is round, not square as pictured. Mine came from Amazon Warehouse Deals (open box), so it's possible something was rearranged by a previous buyer. The handles have minor appearance options: red and blue hot/cold inserts can be installed (as pictured), or non-colored chrome caps can be snapped in over the center screws. There are two screw options in the parts baggie -- choose either a Phillips head, or a 5/64" hex head (Allen head); both options are stainless steel fasteners. The handles attach to the valve body using (included) black plastic grooved adapters. During installation, I found that the orientation of the adapters on the valve affect the alignment of the handle. I wanted my handles mounted like a '+" when closed, but it took trial and error fitting the adapter into numerous groove orientations before getting both handles to sit perfectly vertically. There are maybe a thirteen groove positions the adapter can orient to, and it appears each position sets the handle at a slightly different angle. The escutcheon for each handle has a thick foamy pad on the back side to form a water seal. It's probably performs adequately when pressed tightly against the face of smooth porcelain tile, but mine bridge a vertical grout line, so I felt it necessary to supplement with caulking. Both of these escutcheons thread on to the valve body, securely "sandwiching" the wall in a grip that won't let go. But contrast that to the escutcheon behind the diverter. It has no foam pad, and no flat backing. It doesn't thread on, but is secured with a grub screw. This position requires a good deal of thoughtful sealing to keep water from migrating through the center hole to behind the wall, and also benefits from a weep hole left along the bottom edge to give any trapped water a path out. I am impressed with the quality of the materials used. These are not your hollow-sounding stamped metal parts. Their gauge is sufficiently thick to withstand the forces of dropped shower wands, shampoo bottles, and kids. They've been very easy to keep clean and shiny. If you like the simple, utilitarian look of these handles, I enthusiastically suggest these as an option.

Beware; possible water pressure issue
My plumber just left after spending two days with this installation. I ordered the trim as well as the valve and bathtub spout. To be fair, my installation is not standard. The space to work in is tight and he had to make some adjustments to the plumbing lines in order to complete the installation. The hardware itself is of excellent quality, heavy brass with no evidence of plastic. The chrome trim is also of high quality, The installation looks wonderful; however, the diverter doesn’t work, It’s the type that pushes in and out. Pull it out for water to flow through the bath spout; push it in for the shower. The diverter doesn’t stay in the “out” position for more than few seconds. It’s almost as if a spring is controlling it; push it out, it springs back into place, with water flowing through the shower head. We called technical support and explained the problem. The first question they asked was whether the plumbing was copper. Yes. Good. We were advised that the problem is related to water pressure; I don’t recall the specifics, but if there’s a difference in pressure between the hot and cold water lines, the diverter won’t work. I asked about possible solutions or retrofits. Apparently, the only solution is to deal with the pressure. I’m on a private well, not city water, and I hadn’t planned to modify the entire plumbing system. I’ve lived in my house more than thirty years and have never had a problem with cheapo valves and trim from the local hardware or big box store. I wanted to upgrade from the ugly, plastic faucets of the past. Naturally, I’m more than disappointed. Kohler offered to ship a replacement diverter free of charge it see if that’s where the problem lies. Maybe I’ll be lucky; if so, I’ll update this review, By the way, Kohler’s customer service was excellent. Oh, one other thing. Make sure you have hex wrenches as they aren’t included. The instruction booklet indicates 3/8” hex are needed. I think that was an error (my plumber had the correct tools and I think he said a smaller wrench is needed.)

Good
I'm very happy with these fixtures. I bought the recommended valve and everything fit fine. I was concerned because some reviews said that something about the valve changed and it didn't fit. But that was not the case at all. I bought the one that was recommended along with this and all is well.

Enjoying my shower again!
Very pleased with this purchase. Pros: Handles are solid. Quarter-turn technology is genius. Handles turn very easily and no added force is necessary to turn off or on. Chrome finish appears to be top quality. Cons: A little more money than other options, but worth it IMHO.

It is kind of nice to only have to turn them slightly to change ...
Solid, well made fixtures. Note these are only what you see on the surface of the tub, not the actual fixture behind. It is kind of nice to only have to turn them slightly to change the flow, but at the same time it makes them very touchy.
