Didn't want mirror finish, did want handle rivets, but it'll do
I wanted an induction-compatible 2 quart saucepan, and after using it a few times, have these comments. Mirror finishes look pretty at first, but you pay extra for them, and they may degrade quickly, possibly looking worse than a plain 'silver' finish after the same amount of wear. I would have liked to pass on that. The handle's not riveted on. Some people like that, but as someone who worked in food service for a while, I don't trust welded handles to stay on forever. Riveted ones almost never fail. If it weren't for that, this pot could pretty much last forever, with no coating or plastic handles to wear out. It heats evenly across the bottom. The sides and handle are made of different steel, and aren't heated by induction, so in terms of near term functionality, that's all fine. Add rivets, drop the mirror finish, and lower the price by a few dollars (from the current $24), and I'd give it 5 stars, but not quite as it is.

Perfect little pot for oatmeal and simmering beans, etc.
I needed a little covered pot in which to make oatmeal for our newly-instituted health-plan breakfasts. My Calphalon pots seems to hold on to cooked oatmeal for dear life, making clean up a real task. Figuring that bright-finish stainless steel might result in less adherence, I ordered the Innova pot with glass lid, and the price was very right. It has, I'm told, a disk of aluminum in the bottom to better difuse and hold heat. It's a sturdy pot and the glass lid, with its stainless steel bulb of a knob, adds to the overall attractiveness. Since I use milk to make the oatmeal (not water --but I don't add milk to eat it, either), I find that "cooked on" (read: singed) milk is no easy thing to scrub away using one of those scrubby kitchen sponges! But it's still easier to clean than the Calphalon pots. Would I buy it again. Oh yes. Even though I wish that aluminum disk in the bottom would wrap up the sides about an inch (at least) to help avoid singing hot foods to the sides of the pot...

Great pot, love the glass lid, easy to keep clean
I've had this pot for a few months now. I am pleased in the extreme with the quality from which it is made. The rounded inside bottom corners actually do make it easier to keep clean. The lip at the rim of the pot makes it easier to pour out liquids. I'm really liking the glass lid too. The only thing about this lid is that the knob that sits on the top of it CAN get pretty hot...enough so that you would want to use a pot holder to grasp it. I'm pretty sure that is the way with all pots with a metal knob...but I'd rather put up with that than have a bakelite handle that looks bad after a year or 2 of getting hot than cool again.

Smaller than advertised
This pan is advertised as 12 inches, it even says so on the box, but is only 11-3/4. It is a nice looking pan, stainless steel with a hard base for even heating. I have no doubts about the quality of the nonstick on this pan, I researched nonstick coatings before deciding which pan to buy and Eclipse (also advertised as Innovex) which is what this pan has, is one of the best nonstick coatings around. It's just that I was purchasing a replacement for a worn out 12-inch pan, for which I have an expensive glass lid. It does not fit on this pan and all of my other lids are too small. The flat surface of this pan is small as well; only about 8-1/2 inches, where my old 12-inch pan has a flat surface of nearly 10-1/2 inches. Also beware that if the pan doesn't suit your needs, Ace Hardware Outlet has a restocking fee for returned items.

It's good and the price shows
This pot is a little overkill in price versus buying a full set. We used it on a portable electric stovetop, which won't work with some of the composites. It's durable and well made. It;s also pricey but will outlast you and your children will pass it on to their children.

Great pot!
I have been wanting to get a smaller pot and I mostly cook with cast iron or enamel coated cast iron. I decided to give this little pot a try since it was less expensive than a cast iron version. It is going to take me a little getting used to since I can use a lower flame to get things done with this pot. Even though my food stuck a little bit to the bottom, it cleaned out easily. I really love having a lighter weight alternative to cooking with cast iron because I refuse to cook with any non-stick coated pots and pans!!

"some like it hot"
with apologies to the classic billy wilder/marilyn monroe film...i bought this sleek little saucy pan and was pleased that i did not have to worry about the evil that aluminum pans dispense. the idea of the clear cover was an added attraction as who can resist being able to see what heat does to various foodstuffs. after removing it from its excellent packaging i washed it and rushed off to make some english breakfast tea in my lovely shiny new pot. i watched with pleasure as the water heated and stood impatiently with teabag in hand. Finally it was time and i reached out with one hand for the handle to adjust the pot and with the other hand grabbed the cute round lid handle when my pain sensors informed me that something was terribly terribly wrong. hot! hot! Hot! HOT!!! and then i knew. the joke was on stoopid me. i have always had pans with the black rubbery or plastic handles, pot lid handles the same. granted i should have known that an all-stainless steel pot would be hot, but no where was there any indication in the specs that pot holders are necessary with this item and i am embarrassed to admit that it never even occurred to me....the pan IS a sleek, pretty thing and the top is quite enchanting but if you are a person who wants a no-think pot to heat your foods in, this is NOT the one for you.

The Little Saucepan that Could
I like this pot just fine and I love saucepans in general. I gave it 3 stars as far as value for money because it's been ages since I bought a saucepan and really was shocked that they all cost so much. I didn't want to pay more than 10 bucks. But, I'm hoping this could well be the last one I ever have to buy in my lifetime which would make it a bargain in the end. (Although, I am old and sick so...)
