Buy the larger version- you won’t be sorry!

We looked EVERYWHERE for a white ceramic and wooden “mid century modern” style lamp for my new Article MCM sideboard. First I ordered this version of the lamp because of the price difference (smaller lamp was over $100 cheaper) but it was entirely too small. Also important to note that the smaller version has a Nardi or a Slip UNO fitter for the shade which makes it considerably smaller than it already is and hides the top piece of the lamp which is wooden. This larger version that I finally settled on has a Washer and Spider Fitter instead for the shade, which allows the shade to sit higher and at the correct height to allow visibility of the entire lamp base. I sent the smaller one back and decided to purchase the full size version. Otherwise, if the small version works for your needs then please note that the wooden base and top detail is a perfect color of dark walnut stain and for me - matches my walnut stained furniture perfectly. The lamp’s shade is of decent quality and texture. Since this small version does not have a finial top then there’s no need to worry about it matching or clashing with any other surrounding metals such as photo/mirror frames or cabinetry hardware. Overall I was impressed by the secure and tight packaging as well as the quick delivery. I would recommend this particular lamp to anyone searching for a SMALL lamp in the mid century modern style.

solid and attractive

Very nice quality lamp. I ordered 2. 1 came packaged from the manufacturer, the other was an obvious returned product. the box had no packaging to keep it secure and the lamp was on top of the shade, so the shade was mostly crushed. Now I have to return 1. Of course the packaging does not affect the quality of product, but to receive 1 that now I have to return due to their error is annoying. I do recommend the lamp as it is good quality, looks great and works well.
