Laptop falls off TSA compartment

I love KC products as they are usually sturdy and made with good material. This backpack is no exception. But the TSA laptop compartment make no sense to me because there's nothing to hold the laptop and it will slide off once you completely open it. I think the whole TSA idea is just a gimmick, it take 2 seconds to pull out the laptop, compared to the line you've been waiting on, it's irrelevant. There are too much paddings among compartments because of the TSA design, therefore the useable space inside is greatly reduced. Besides, TSA's inconsistent practice doesn't guarantee you don't have to take out the laptop. I'll go for a none TSA one as it can hold more inside.

Ladies Bag, not Road Warrier-worthy

In comparison to my prior Targus model, slightly smaller but thankfully does not have any bottom or full side zippers that will split apart when you shoulder the pack. The Targus cost me a 17" laptop because the zipper holding it on 3 sides, split and the computer shot out of the pack onto a concrete floor and was a total loss. On the negative side though, the bag is on the smaller side and lacks all of the equipment compartments the Targus had. Also, the Shoulder straps are skimpy and don't have any opportunities to use lashing straps and carbineers. No opportunities to lash anything to the back. Clearly not water resistant, not really well padded, no waist belt, not really easy to slip into if you have a Medium or large build. I had hoped the $200 price would have provided better protection and utility. Probably do well for an unloaded women's computer bag, not suitable for Road Warrier service.

This backpack is AWESOME!

I bought this backpack for work mainly. It has tons of room and more compartments than I will ever use! The last backpack I had (not a KC Reaction) had poor quality zips and made zipping up in a hurry or with one hand, very difficult - not this backpack! The zips are very high quality! It's lightweight and very comfortable. I haven't put any major loads in it so far, but with what I need on a daily basis, it's perfect!

Does not last

I bought this back pack when my daughter finally started hybrid school starting in April 2021. Considering last day of school was May 26th it only lasted about 2.5 months total. The stitching I noticed today when I picked her up 2nd week of school. I had expected a quality product from Kenneth Cole hopefully they will reach out and make this right.

Not my first Kenneth Cole backpack...

Looks exactly as the pictures. Quality bag. I've had a few Kenneth Cole book bags. I like the way they look and trust the brand for quality. This is my favorite so far. It has plenty of space to hold all of things without being bulky. I can easily fit my binder, laptop and 10 inch tablet. Easy access to a USB port. Its comfortable to carry. Perfect for daily commuting, school, overnights, whatever. Highly recommended.

This is a great looking bag.

I bought this as a gift for my hubby's plane traveling. Lots of pockets; great design. I had to return it only because I bought him the wrong one. It is a very good-looking bag and I would have kept it if I had needed one myself.

Great for one who likes many compartments

In my job (teacher) I need a lot of separate places to put various items without them jumbling up in one or two places only. This is why I have not bought some of the other popular brands that I've looked at recently. This one was pointed out to me, and it is easily my favorite of the backpacks I've had in the past. It may be a bit too big for one who wants to casually tool around the city - I live in NYC, and am frequently on the subway, up & down stairways, at school. For my purposes, it is perfect!
