The idea of this seems great. It has 4 interior pockets that could even hold a water bottle. It has tote handles that pull the top closed when carrying it. It has bars on each side to give structure to it for maximum size when open. It is large and it is sturdy. That is where the pros end. In use this just doesn’t make the grade. Before ordering this consult your Qool owner’s manual or the Qool manual on Joovy’s website, look at the configurations listed under “tote”. These are the only configurations possible with the tote. In order to use this you will need to have the seat parent facing in the upper position or in the front adapters (for the second seat, purchased separately, about $22). In other words, if you do not have the additional front adaptors this will be behind the seat, therefore not easily accessible when pushing the stroller. Also, because the seat will be in the upper position, this will be in the lower position which makes it block part of the basket. Blocking part of the basket negates some of the extra space you were planning on. Since the seat will need to be parent facing this also means you cannot use this tote while using the bench seat unless you are using the front adapters. So, I will review this used with the front adapters because it’s really the only practical way to use this so I would factor in the extra $22 if you plan to use this. Using this with the front adapters you can use it in the upper or lower seat position with your seat in the front adapters front or parent facing. In the upper position it is convenient to use for your purse, toys, water bottle etc. and does not block the basket at all. The amount of storage you would have is insane. Keep in mind though that your seat is now sticking out the front of the stroller making it much longer than a single stroller, closer in size to a double stroller. Using it in the lower adapters makes it less accessible for you but not blocked or out of the way AND, if the child in the seat is parent facing it is partially accessible to them so could be used for cups, toys, etc. With the seat in the front adapters you can now use the bench seat with the tote. Though the instructions say to do this in the lower position, it worked fine in the upper position too and didn’t block the bench rider any more than the seat does if in the upper position. However this does make the basket less accessible. You can also use this with two seats, it sits in the lower adapters with one seat in the upper and one in the front, so between the seats. Just as when using it without the front adapters, the tote is now behind the upper seat so less accessible and partially blocking the basket. This can also be used with the bassinet or carseat, with them in the front adapters. Again, this makes the stroller rather long. The stroller can fold with this one. However if the seat is in the front adapters you have to remove it to fold so you haven’t saved any time. The tote can be easily removed from the stroller and carried. The straps automatically pull the 2 side bars together closing the top. However, because it has plastic adapters to attach it to the stroller as well as the 2 metal bars that stabilize the top it is quite bulky and heavy to carry. Overall, the basket of the Qool is already HUGE, a parent console adds in easily accessible space for a water bottle, keys, wallet, sippy cup, etc without requiring front adapters or blocking the basket. This is a wasted expense in most cases. If it were smaller, therefore allowing it to be used between the bench seat and seat in the lower adapters, without the need for the front adapters, it would be more worth it to me. Think about how you’ll be using it before buying.
