Great quality, well performing.

I'm a renovation professional, and I have this sink in my personal home. After owning it and using it in a busy household for 3 years now, I have to say it's the best sink I've owned for the money. There are more expensive sinks out there for sure. But the drop in is an easy upgrade and installed properly, works like a charm. I absolutely recommend the Houzer stainless grate for the bottom of it. Remember, you still need to clean the sink once in a while, or any sink will rust, even porcelain will rust through. Also, make sure and peel the protective plastic off the bottom, as you would with many sinks. If it heats up while washing dishes, it will smell like plastic. If you're not sure what you're doing, be sure to hire a professional, and you won't be disappointed. Also, make sure to order a faucet that will at the very least come with a cover plate for the three holes.

Very nice sink with a couple of installation gotchas

This is an attactive, nicely-finished sink. Mine arrived packaged well without any dents or scratches. A few knocks, however: first, the factory adhesive holding the sound deadening material on the underside of the sink let go about an hour after the sink was first lowered into the countertop. Fortunately I hadn't fastened anything yet, so I pulled the sink out, and reapplied the sound deadener with a liberal coating of construction adhesive. So far it's holding on fine (going on about a month). The second issue has to do with the clips that hold the sink to the countertop. Make sure you dry-fit and practice tightening the clips before you put down caulk. It can be very tricky getting the sink into the hole with the clips attached, and once in place, it's almost impossible to insert and tighten the clips from below. Prepare for lots of swearing during this phase of the installation. Finally, there were some very fine traces of rust along the top of the sink right where the edge lip rises up from the apron. I tackled these with steel wool and mineral oil and they're now hardly visible.

Simple install, scratches easily

PROS: The sink is beautiful, and is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a sink that didn't have that annoying divider, separating it into two compartments. Additionally, install was a breeze. I've done few sink installs before, so no instructions were needed. But, even for a novice, install would be simple. CONS: The sink is uncoated. It's possible I missed it, but I dont believe its anywhere in the description. Consequently, it scratches VERY easily. Sadly, it will need to be replaced much sooner that a properly coated sink.

Great sink beautifully made.

I got this to replace a equal sided double basin sink. This sink fit perfectly into the hole where my old one came out of. At least that is what plumber told me since I opted to have it professionally installed. The sink has a really nice look to it and it's well built. It was really well packaged for shipping. I now have a sink that I can fit my large baking sheets, large pots and pans, my kitchenaid mixing bowl, and my crock pot. Before to wash those items it was horrible. I came across this sink while searching online since it is hard to find a sink this size in a single basin that didn't require me to pay a fortune. My dogs even fit in the sink which is great considering one has a grass allergy. So soaking his feet is now super easy and both dogs seem content to just relax and stand there for a good 5-10 minutes.

So happy with my new sink. For 15 years I have been living with a gray porcelain 2-bowl sink installed by the previous owner of our house. It always looked dirty/stained, neither bowl was big enough for washing a large stock pot, and I always worried about chipping the sink surface or breaking a glass on it. We finally decided to replace it, and chose this single bowl stainless sink, and the Houzer BG-3600 Wirecraft Stainless Steel Sink Grid, 27-by-13-7/8-Inch to go with it. I plan to use a small plastic dishpan sitting on the grid for small items that don't go in the dishwasher, but put the dishpan away under the sink when I am done using it so the beauty of this sink can shine. The sink looks like a jewel in my kitchen counter! I will be able to clean even large items in my sink now, and I don't have water splashing everywhere on my counter because the sink is not large enough to contain it.

Wish I had a second kitchen so I could buy it again!

This is a terrific sink. Due to the material of our countertop, I had to get an overmount sink. It's tough finding one with any depth! This is about 9" deep, and while I'd love to have a 10", the quality and price for this one are great. Just as others have stated, this sink really dampens the noise of the garbage disposal - a nice bonus. The stainless is good quality, and I purchased a soap dispenser to place in the fourth hole. I also purchased the Kraus KPF-1640SS Modern Nola Single Lever Flex Commercial Style Kitchen Faucet, which is the best faucet I've ever used. Voila, our kitchen counter looks like a million bucks! Even the drain is beautiful - but be advised, if you've got a garbage disposal, you won't be able to use it.

Still like the sink very much

I would give it a 5 if the sound dampening material had not fallen off. I will glue it back on as another buyer did, with construction adhesive, once I figure out how to keep it pressed up against the already installed sink while it dries. Still like the sink very much. Purchased the wire rack that sits in the bottom. It's great because I can wash a dish and turn it upsidedown in the sink to dry.

Looks high end and I wish I could have used it. Product describes its as a drop in but does not mention or show details on the teeth underneath which I guess is there to clamp the sink to the edge of your platform so as to support the weight as this product is super lightweight. If you are replacing an existing one, there's no room to fix the platform to allow those clamps in. If you are installing it in your brand new model house, make sure the contractor knows about it and takes necessary steps to account for those teeth.
