Screws snaps easily

These screws have no tensile strength to speak of. I was putting them into a pine door, with the holes pre-drilled. I had them even soaped up so they would go in easy , but so far on 3 of them the head just snapped off. Now I am left with a problem of how the heck to get the stubs out of my expensive french door. I have an 1/8" of protruding stub left, the other 2 broke inside the hole. I cant imagine an use for these, given the high breakage rate 3 out of 15 . I am tossing the remainder in the garbage, which is what I should have done after the first one broke. I did not quite want to believe that these could possibly be this bad, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I do not know how I could set a lower bar: I expect a screw to go into a predrilled hole without breaking. It is nearly impossible to get them out once they break.
