Water saver

Holds the temperature during the shower and being in a drought area I can turn the water off to save water while adding conditioner and come back to warm water vs a blast of cold. Love it!

Quality as usual

Visited store and was told supply chain issues so I looked here and would be delivered next day. Perfect! Redoing master bathroom only familiarized myself with supply chain issues. Very please with quality and weight of this product considering what you could spend for the same item. We’re pleased with design and style and have used all Hansgrohe products for the shower. Excellent products all.

Product does not match website picture

Product does look very nice. However, the product photo on Amazon shows that the diverter control has a longer lever that extends beyond the edge of the trim plate. The product received has only a short stub of a lever, which is more difficult for a handicapped user.

Premium and Pretty

As a normal homeowner, installing one of these is time consuming and requires some skills (unless you happen to already have a hansgrohe rough in box installed). If, like me, you are replacing an existing, defective shower valve, it's a lot of work. In my case, it took 21 solder joints to assemble the rough in. with a lot of cutting to make room. But I eventually got the rough in in place, and the installation of what comes in the box is pretty trivial after that. I wish Hansgrohe would use fewer hex key sizes. I installed this in a pre-fab shower enclosure with a slightly curved wall. This rectangular valve set doesn't quite ly flat against the wall, but I'm still confident water won't get into the wall. as the whole system works against water penetration. Materials are lovely,. and the controls have a satisfying heft. You get a very wide range of possible temperatures, and I had to take some care to make sure that safe temperatures were delivered. This is the second Hansgrohe shower valve I've installed, and I remained impressed by the build quality.

EcoStat Square, All in One Kit

This is an excellent way to purchase Hansgrohe fixtures in a compatible all in one kit (as compared to purchasing the components separately). This Ecostat is really unique in that it features a diverter and valve system in one. You can control the water volume with the top handle. If you turn it to the left towards "1" then your flow comes out port 1 or if you turn it to the right to "2" then it comes out port 2. You can control the water flow by how far you turn it. It can go from a trickle to full volume. The second lower handle controls the temperature. If you leave it where you last used it, the water will return to that same temperature then next time you use it. This Valve, Diverter & Trim Kit can be paired up with a shower arm/head and a bar/wand combo. Or maybe a rain shower head and wand you you would rather. It makes for a convenient to access control system. It becomes second nature after a few uses. Hansgrohe makes many fine plumbing fixtures. The German engineering and attention to detail is superb. There is also another German manufacturer that is equally well know in the plumbing industry that goes by the name of Grohe. The 2 companies are separate entities and should not be confused with each other. Their parts and fixtures are not interchangeable.

This is a beautiful hansgrohe faucet. hansgrohe is a German manufacturer of plumbing fixtures majority owned by Masco Corporation, also owner of Peerless, Delta and Brizo fixture lines. hansgrohe customer service is top notch. You can expect the highest quality materials and workmanship and many years of use from a hansgrohe faucet. This faucet includes a bathroom shower/tub temperature and volume control and diverter. The pressure (volume) control and diverter are on the top dial, the temperature is adjusted by the lower knob. Elegant in finish and flush-to-the-wall, only the handles protrude from the trim plate, the other valve elements reside within the wall, unlike most hansgrohe trim units that come with a large cartridge and without the rough-in valve. This unit comes with a small thermostat cartridge already in place in the rough-in valve assembly (which also contains the diverter and volume valve). hansgrohe makes elegant fixtures. Their engineering and finishes are second to none. You will enjoy good service from this valve for years.
