Composition of Socks Received Does Not Match Description

I've attached a picture of the label on both packs of socks I received. My experience matches that of another Amazon purchaser of this item who also posted a picture. Amazon states "39% acrylic, 38% Wool, 21% poly, 1% span, 1% other", but you can clearly see on the picture I've attached "70% polyester, 15% acrylic, 12% wool, 2% spandex, 1% other fibers". I looked on Hanes' website. The description there matches what Amazon has. The two packages I received were in plain plastic bags--no Hanes markings at all like I'd expect to see in a retail package. Not sure what's up with that. I wanted socks with a lot of wool. These are not them.

Yes they're Hanes - but no, they're not wool. (Well, maybe a teensy bit)

These are nice socks. As long as you know what your getting - so read the description closely. With 70% acrylic, and only 12% wool, they hardly qualify as a true blend. Moisture does seem to wick away, although it would be helpful to have worn these in a warmer time of the year. Warmer than cotton - for sure. Comfortable? Indeed. Nicely patterned as well. Overall, they seem like good everyday wear socks to be worn with jeans. But if you're thinking of hitting the trail, you may want to invest in a true wool sock.

Nice warm thick socks

The socks really fit well. It does not shed like the typical cotton/wool socks. I thought it was the same as the Hanes warm socks at first. The "warmest" grade is definitely noticeably thicker. It feels padded vs the regular socks. The socks fit nicely and comfortably. I like the other pair of Hanes warm grade better as they are a tighter fit. Other than that, It is good for 50 degrees F temperature.

my husband likes these socks. he said they are warm and comfortable. he wears them to work with his work boots, and he has no complaints about them at all.

Comfortable, Tall

These socks feel good, I forget how a wool blend thicker sock makes a pair of boots feel more comfortable. They are a little taller than they need to be, but other than that the fit is quite good. Decent colors and good warmth factor.

Haynes quality at a glance and first feel

Hanes and others may advertise the coolest or the warmest or driest ever fabric but my expectations were low reading the 'X-temp Moisture Wicking' statement. Sounded like a feature some tire company would have. But I was wrong. The socks even though thick, have a quick wicking thing going on. I could tell how dry my foot was after pulling off boots. Seems these newer fabrics are superior to the pure cotton thing I've always thought best. The wicking is great but they also hold shape with no toe or heel bagging. Cotton crews were always a 'sack' after a few months washing. Best is they aren't slippery on the shoe bottom as some synthetics are. These are good quality and have sharp colored details which is nice spotting them in the drawer. Would recommend.

Look And Feel Great

They very much fit well. They are thick and do keep my feet warm whether wearing boots or tennis shoes. The thickness of them definitely help with cushioning my feet with whatever I’m wearing. The X-Temp technology infused into these socks are doing as advertised and keeping my feet dry. It’s noticeable because I’m not thinking about my socks and after a days work my feet are not wet. The stitching throughout the three sets of socks is straight and consistent and I didn’t find any manufacturing errors or annoying threads to snipped. Very nice. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

most comfortable of the various Hanes x-temp varieties I've tried

These Hanes are excellent for moisture control. They are comfortable around the ankle and calf. Stay put and are great with sneakers or work boots. Have been worn hiking, on the job site and around the house. I've now tried a variety of different styles of Hanes X-temp socks and these are the ones I find the most comfortable.
