Cuts very well
This router bit offers a lot of flexibility with the various bearing sizes. Unfortunately, the instructions do not tell you which way to orientate the bearing. Used it to cross cut walnut, it worked wonderful.

Good value
I found this bit set of good quality and of good value given the range of cut depths. I would verify the router you intend to use is speed adjustable or appropriate for the bits rating. I would buy again.

Sharp and smooth
Quality and accuracy that you’ve come to expect of Freud. I use this to rabbet picture frames, and it works amazingly. Easy to switch out the bearings. 100% would buy again, but I don’t think I’ll ever need to.

Good Quality
I used this bit to cut a 1/2" dado on 60 ft of composite deck material. The last cut was just as smooth as the first. Still sharp as new.

Excellent Cutter, Cheap Bearings, Gets 'er Done!
I built a tool chest for under the woodworking bench and decided to inlet the back of the carcass with a rabbit to lay the back into. Since I hade already assembled the box, I needed this rabbeting bit. The bit worked great, cut like butter. The bearings themselves have an aluminum outer diameter that makes the bearing outer dimension. Yes, they look very cheap because they are, but they will not be running 24-7 for five years either, should probably be fine for the application. The cutting bit is huge and heavy (see picture) so run your router at a lower RPM. No storage for the bearings, other than the paper box; I deducted one star. Freud could have incorporated the bearings into that pretty box- now I will be doing that, increasing the price I have in the cutter set. I plan on embedding/ attaching a few rare-earth magnets to the base to hold the bearings. Other than Bearings in a thin paper box, the set is good and performed with flying colors on 3/4" birch plywood.

Excellent cutter easy to use and gives a first class finish

Quality = Freud It is that simple
I am new at routing and using bits and this is my first rabbet bit. I decided not to go cheap and buy a quality bit and that means Freud. I was not disappointed as every cut I made was clean, to tear out and the bit did not even struggle . These bits are razor sharp and I even nicked my finger enough for blood to ooze out to prove I did get injured. One has to use some common sense and ask yourself if you really believe that one can buy a case of 20 bits for $ 40.00 and think those bits are as good as one bit that costs 40.00? Hey no need to Google the answer. I bought these with confidence as I have always heard that Freud was top quality and the 5 Star reviews all agreed. I would ignore any negative review on this bit as they must have had bad luck and got a lemon which can happen with any product.

Rodamiento defectuoso y mal embalado
Llegó la fresa en un sobre, supongo que por el movimiento la fresa se salió de la base y golpeo toda la caja de acrílico, pongo las fotos donde se ven los golpes. Revisé las cuchillas de la fresa y parece que está bien, sin embargo cuando pruebo el rodamiento o balero -bearing- no gira, le cuesta trabajo. Las otras brocas que tengo de Freud giran perfectamente bien, esta no, los otros baleros parecen funcionar, pero el más grande , que usaría como principal, no funciona, no gira, está apretado. No sé si se lastimó por los golpes que se dio en la caja o simplemente no es de la calidad que suele manejar Freud Por lo tanto, realizaré la devolución. Con esta es la cuarta fresa de Freud que devuelvo, el empaque bonito, pero es común que se suelten las brocas y se golpeen las cuchillas en la caja, siendo esta la parte más importante y delicada de la herramienta.

Not what the picture illustrates
I bought this router bit set because it illustrates thicker bearings than the others. The bearing itself is very thin, the outer ring is much wider than the actual bearing. I do not expect the bearing to last long.
