Eye-catching and fun

Every year my gardening group walks in our city's 4th of July parade. We've had people dress as carrots, lemons, and an ear of corn. This past year I dressed as a pea pod and the costume was quite a hit. It's just two pieces. You put the piece with the light green peas on first, fitting it around your face. Then you step into the dark green pod and pull the dark green "hood" up over your head. I had to pin the pieces in place or else they slipped with movement. It's polyester so I did get hot over the course of a warm summer day. But I wore a thin green Tshirt and running shorts underneath and I was fine. Also the material is stretchy so walking 3+ miles was not a problem. People were definitely drawn to me. Little kids laughed and waved and took pictures. Adults felt compelled to pat my peas and make pregnancy jokes which was...interesting. I liked the costume a lot. It saved me so much time - I could not have made a better costume for less money. Served the purpose I needed it for so it worked out great!

Smile as the Pea Pod runs by

The product was as specified. I purchased the "standard size" and it measures 40 inches approx. at the hip. You need to use additional fasteners to keep the costume in place. The front pea piece would not stay tucked in so I had to pin at the bottom. I also pinned the hood to the top of the face piece, and the sides in two places to keep them from flapping out. There were some cuts around the edges of the front, some of the interlocking was not on the material - but as this is polyester - there are no edges to unravel and it was only $20 - very happy overall. I used it as a running costume - just hiked it up a little so it did not limit my stride. Warm. Lots of smiles!

I didn't like that this order arrived late

I didn't like that this order arrived late. It arrived over two weeks beyond the expected time frame and didn't get here in time for a costume party. Aside from that, the costume was cute, and funny. The peas don't stay in place and you have to pin the front which hangs like a lapel, to the sides of the shell to keep it in place. Same goes with the head cover , has to be pinned in place to keep it from falling off your head. I'm 5'3" and was somewhat swimming in it, and it was kinda hot, but cute..

Agregar velcro en área cintura

Es un disfraz muy original, el único problema es que viene diseñado en 2 partes, la vaina y los chícharos solo tienen un velcro que los une, en mi caso tuve que llevar a que pusieran un velcro adicional en el área de la cintura para que no se estuviera abriendo fuera de eso lució genial

Cute, got lots of compliments

Needed a fun, bright costume and this fit the bill. I wore it for crosswalk duty on Halloween and the kids loved it. A bit bulky if you have to bend and move a lot. Will be able to use again and again and it folds nicely for storage. My only issue was more with me than the costume. As my head is rather small (I have to wear kid sized helmets, hats, etc) the hood wanted to flop everywhere or slip down over my eyes. I had to fuss with it quite a bit to get it to stay in place.

solid costume buy

this is a good costume, and garners a lot of compliments. it is somewhat hot b/c of it being all polyester, and of course, i was dancing a lot at the party i went to. i would say that the part around the face is a bit baggy and the hood will fall off sometimes if you are moving vigorously (again, the dancing). it also gaps a bit on the sides where the peas are, but all in all, great buy and not too many complaints for the price and cute factor.

I am 5'3 and unfortunately the bottom pea is too low and shows only half :( Super cute but you will need a shirt to go underneath the suit as the suit is sleeveless. Looking forward to wearing it!

the head/face area doesn't like to stay put

be aware that this does not include sleeves. boyfriend and I went as peas and carrots for halloween. this costume was a hit. i even won 2nd place in my office costume contest. the head/face area doesn't like to stay put, but with a few bobby pins the situation was resolved.

Great value.

Was a little big and head piece was a little loose. However. Got 3rd prize in Norway at our fancy dress. As someone else has reviewed I kept getting people wanting to squeeze my peas. If the head part could have tightened would have been a better. Great costume, good quality and good value for money.

Hält nichts, müsste genäht werden

Leider hat das Kostüm absolut nicht gehalten. Die Klettteile an den Schultern halten nicht richtig und das ganze Kostüm, welches zwei teilig ist verrutscht bereits bei normalen Bewegungen. Es ist am Bauch nichts zu befestigen dran, sodass die drei Erbsen auch nicht richtig sitzen und der Bauch unten drunter zu sehen ist je nach leichter Bewegung. Am Kopf der Zipfel fällt auch ständig runter. Man müsste das Kostüm komplett anders nähen, dass es hält und nicht ständig etwas nicht richtig sitzt, verrutscht an den Schultern oder runter fällt. Eine lustige Idee das Kostüm, so lange man sich nicht bewegt. Sehr schade
