This is nice and useful

This is something from the past that still applies today. Having a place to store things to care for good leather shoes. Proper care allows the leather to stay in great wearable and viewable condition. The showles often cost more and should be taken care of. The kit is nice but not perfect there are a few woodworking flaws but only in slight gaps. I feel it will last fairly well but I cannot say now since I did not make it. A little snobery I guess, but truthfully we never know how well a product will be if we have not used the company before and have no experience with their products. So as customers of a small business we ask this company to set a standard and to stick to it so that they do eventually become a 'go to company'; there are few things that say a company has made it like being called the most reliable and creating enduring products. I like giving small companys my business. We all should give them a chance.

Came damaged

I purchased this item as "Used, Like New" and it came with a complete split in the wood on the lid. On the underside of the wood it looks like it had been screwed together to "fix" the split. If I was certain that had been done, I would have given it one star.

A win!

My husband would store all of his shoe shining tools in a grocery bag. Drove me nuts. Maybe I bought this for me as much as I did for him LOL Gave it to him as one of his birthday gifts and everyone “oohed” and “aahed” over it. He was really impressed with it and I’d say we have a double win over here ;)

arrived cracked

i was very excited to order this…it arrived and i opened it and the wood was split….disappointing to say the least

More cramped than anticipated, but well made for the $

Well made for the $ but it's very cramped and the slide-on top doesn't allow for as much space as models featuring hinged tops. If you squeeze everything in just right, it will fit two small jars of polish, two 8" brushes, two daubers and a thin cloth. If you want to box up more shoe shine products than that, search for a hinge-top box with larger dimensions. The wooden shoe stand on top isn't recommended for actual use while shining shoes, fyi, but it'll probably withstand the job if you can stabilize it.
