Is there no QC at Febreze?
First one had a bit of fan bearing noise. A slight rattle that eventually smoothed out for the most part, but could still be heard if you were standing next to the machine. The replacement was even worse. The fan ran smooth without the filter on, but add the filter and some resistance, and my goodness... it rattled like a maraca. Definitely not quiet, or anywhere near it. I put this in a room where the air quality is good, but it's by far the dustiest room in the house. In the couple of weeks I've been using it, I can't really see any visible collection of dust in the filter. Plenty still accumulating on the furniture and stuck to the front of the computer. I guess time will tell. So far, a big disappointment.

Huge relieve from allergy attacks
I was at first slightly hesitant, wondering if this product is any good given it’s price. But it has been a huge relieve for my kid suffering from poll allergies. His sneeze attacks are gone since we installed the air duster in his bedroom. We have it running through the night and switch it off in the morning. It makes a very, very low shushing noise that resembles white noise apps for babies. It is recognizable but not disturbing.

Doesn't work
I have a dust allergy and I keep spending money on crap like this. Dust mites are teeny tiny little particles that you can't see with your own eyes. These filters are not made to catch those small particles. Waste of money.

Easy to use and collects some dust
I placed this in a very dusty area, the garage. I did not think this unit was going to do much of anything as far as cleaning dust from the air. The unit sits a couple inches off the surface and has a bottom mounted fan that draws air into the unit through the bottom, up through a vacuum type filter bag and out of the top. This is kind of an odd setup as dust floats for the most part and is airborne. After about a week of running this unit, I shut it off and took out the filter. Low and behold there was a good amount of dust in the filter but not as much as my other top loading filter has in a weeks time. The unit is whisper quiet while it is operating and is easy to forget this unit is even running most of the time. You can not turn this unit off and on with an easy button press because it does not have one which is odd but you have to unplug the unit to shut it off. All in all this unit is probably great for a very small area that does not get very dusty.

Febreze Whiffed Big Time with this Air Duster
This Febreze air duster does a less than adequate job cleansing the air in a relatively small space of pet hair and dust. The main problem is the intake fan for unclean air to be sucked into the unit is located underneath it. Generally dust particles are airborne most of the time and that’s where this unit should be trying to capture them. In its current configuration you’ll need to sit it directly on top of an already dusty surface to see any results. Think using furniture polish with a micro fiber rag would do a much better job cleaning an already dusty area then this Febreze air duster. How about you? I’m pretty sure that’s not the reason why you got it anyway? The dust collection bag resembles something you would find in an upright vacuum. Problem is dust and debris enter from the bottom, instead of the top or side. This device would work a whole lot better if one of the following modifications were made: 1. Place the air intake chamber containing the suction fan at the top, not the bottom of the unit. Clean filtered air should then be released from the sides. 2. Provide taller legs for it to stand on. This way a larger space is available beneath the air duster to capture substantially more unclean air to be filtered. Then release the cleansed air from the top. 3. Attach a metal loop at the top so it can be hung higher up. This way it stays above any air born particles making it easier to filter them out of the air. Sorry to say this Febreze air duster doesn’t do an efficient enough job removing airborne allergens like pollen, animal dandruff, dust mites and mold from the air for me to justify increasing my electric bill by leaving it on. Thumbs down on this one. That’s The Truth!
