Cute idea, horrible grammar
I love this idea! Putting feelings on something physical and having a story to match. However, the grammar in this book is pretty awful. I'm pretty big on proper grammar even for toddlers because this is a fundamental stage. So.... If poor grammar makes you twitch I wouldn't recommend.

Cute
It was really cute and my son loved it. The book could have been a little better, but he didn't seem to mind. The eggs are really adorable and made of wood, great quality.

Eggs are cute but book is pitiful
The eggs are cute and I’ll keep them but the book is really pitiful. No one even attempted to match English even though that’s the language the book is printed in. Trying to read it to my kid gives me secondhand embarrassment. ???? Makes zero sense as a story. Buy it for the cute eggs if you want, but trash the book. Don’t even read it.

Great for counseling children!
I got these on sale for about $13 and am very happy with this purchase. My husband is a counselor and does a lot of play therapy and that is the main reason we purchased these. We also have a two year old at home who got to play with them before they get sent to the counseling office. I love the concept of these eggs with the stands. They are great for talking about emotions and colors, and the stands are a lot of fun for my little one to practice some motor skills. The book is pretty disappointing, but we didn’t get these for the book. I am not sure if I would say they are worth $25 to an average person. My husband probably would have still purchased them for his office but without a reason like that, I don’t think I would have spend $25 on these. I am wishing we had gotten a second set for our home while they were on sale though! I have attached pictures of the whole book.

We love our eggs
We love our eggs! My son (2) got them in his Easter basket. He loves to name the emotions and put them on their stands. I knocked off 1 star for 2 reasons. Like other reviewers I wish that it came with a bag or carton to store the pieces in. I'll have to come up with a diy container for ours. The other reason is that the book is not very easy to follow. Some of the names go by the emotions and others have random names. It's a little confusing for my son, so I often find my own words to place in the story when I read it to him. I don't really plan on using the book very much for the previous named reasons. I do however plan to use the eggs to ask him to pick which emotion he is feeling and we can talk about it. For now we are just in the process of learning which one is happy, sad, excited, mad, anxious, and shy. He's pretty much got them all down and it's fun to watch him learn! He is also learning to recognize his colors better with the eggs and matching stands. I would recommend these eggs to anyone, but with a warning about the book. I think I paid 18 dollars.

Duplicate egg
Everything was fine except that we didn't get an angry egg and got a duplicate scared egg. I don't feel like returning it. So I guess we'll keep it.

Eggs are Cute, Book is Not
I purchased this on prime day at a discount, but just opened it today. If I had paid any more, I'd be upset. As is, I'm just irritated. The book is worthless. Besides being a very poor translation (continually using got instead of had), the book does not have relatable experiences for a toddler. The egg gets a kitten - relatable. Breaks a toy - relatable. Gets eaten by a dog? Farts in the elevator? The cat eats his fish? How about falling down in front of people for embarrassment? But aside from all that, the book doesn't even describe how the egg handles or responds to the emotions. I'll still use the eggs to have discussions with my daughter and I'm sure she'll love them. The eggs are cute. They sit in the stands just fine, but they don't stack as pictured. Overall, it's very disappointing. I have purchased several Hape products and been very pleased with quality and value. I hope the paint on the eggs holds up. If it does, I'll feel ok with my discounted purchase but can't recommend them at full price.

Lovely eggs, unreadable book
The eggs and stands are adorable and I am sure my granddaughter will love them. The book however is a different story. As a teacher, I don't see how this was published. The grammar is awful. It's a cute story but very poorly written.

Great quality, excellent teaching tool.
So cute and the quality is fantastic! My toddler is loving them and it’s been great for practicing emotions with him and learning how to express how he’s feeling. Can’t wait to use with my baby girl too when she gets older.

Lovely eggs, story bit rubbish
Eggs are lovely and son really likes them. He likes the book as it matches but really the story is a bit rubbish and don’t think highlights the emotions that clearly

Great product for school!
I used these eggspression wooden eggs in my sensory table at preschool with colored rice for a "ALL About Me" month. The children loved matching the faces to their feelings. And a cute book that comes with it:)
