It’s a nice decoration but I wish it hung sturdier. It ended up falling and breaking during a wind storm.

Poor Quality

I've ordered Toscano products before and always received a quality item. That's not the case with my recent order. The sculpture itself is very intricate and exactly like the picture. The paint job is another matter. The base coat is fine but the job of the antiquing glaze is horrible. There's a run and a puddle of glaze under the left eye which is very noticeable. This was the first thing I saw when I removed the mask from the styrofoam. There are additional heavy runs of glaze on an upper leaf but the dried glaze puddle under the eye is what disappointed me.

The color was more yellow than it showed in the picture, but he looks great in my garden.

Good and Bad

The item arrived well packed. Unfortunately within less than a week the "paint" started to flake revealing an ugly solid white resin underneath. Moss won't grow well on resin so there was no work around to antique it. To Design Toscano's credit, when contacted, they offered a refund or a replacement. They suggested spraying the item with a spray acrylic might prevent problems with the painted finish. I don't know why they don't use a resin with color pigments already in the resin. Also the item is made in China which is not disclosed on the Amazon product page. I'll spray it and see how it does as DT affirmed that the item is intended for outdoor use (as the picture would suggest).

Toscanos rules! Just be sure to always check the measurements in the listing of "green man" faces.

I bought Bacchus last year-this one is a little smaller than Bacchus, but still an awesome addition to my garden fence. You need to make sure you pay attention to the measurements stated in the listing-this is not a life size face. its smaller, but with the elaborate "leaf" framing it beefs up the size a bit. I knew what to expect so I wasn't disappointed at the size. The color looks exactly liek the pic. The finish and weight is terrific-feels like an expensive piece. I have purchased many items from Toscanos, and have been thrilled with them all.

I have this "Greenman" hanging in my office. I get so many compliments on it and questions as to where I got it! Definitely a great decor addition!

Looks pretty much all uniform

Much less color differentiation than in the picture. Looks pretty much all uniform, no shading or nuance. But the plaque is very nice, and from the distance it does look as if it were make of blonde oak. Like it a lot.

Back fixing bad

Product well designed except for the fixing at the back totally not fit for purpose as it fell off the wall and chipped the side of the face. So I was not happy.

The Greenman pub........The Wickerman movie

Very happy with this plaque when it arrived. It's a well made, excellently designed Greenman. A lot of the Greenman designs are too ugly, I feel it loses the essence of the forest god, i.e The beauty of nature, the vitality of seasons. Will enjoy it in the garden having a few beers over the summer.
