Arrived as expected

My elderly dad needed an addition support handle to help him get up from a chair he sits in on his porch each morning. This handle arrived as expected, was easy to instal (although we used longer screws), and meets our needs perfectly.

There are problems

I am 75 years old and this looked like an easy product to install. However, the screws were 2 inches long, much too long for this product. I went to Ace Hardware and got 1 1/4 in screws. The screws that came with the grab bar stripped the first time I tried to drill them in-cheap. The instructions said to use a 3/32 inch drill bit for the pilot holes which was way too small. I used the 9/16 bit and that was the one I needed. So, all in all I give this product rating of 3 because the directions were off and I had to get extra screws with my own money to finish installing this product.

Great product

I am handicapped and I love these things I have one at my front door on both sides of my sliding glass door my shower really are useful and sturdy best thing ever highly recommend

Strong and solid. Will definitely do a fine job. Recommend you install into a stud whenever possible.

Safety first

Had this installed on a door frame with 2 steps up to the kitchen for safety reasons used by my 86 year old mother. It’s great! Just the right size for her small hands. Some are just too big around.

Overall, a very good product with one minor caveat

This project is sturdy and easy to install. It looks great, except I wish that the screws were not so apparent. It would haver been nice to have included some white plugs to cover the screws. I'll have to go out and find something on my own. It's a smallthing, but who wants something looking industrial in their bathroom when it could easily look so much nicer?

Grab bar for my van

I am converting a high top van into a camper and I used it to help me get to a high platform bed. I had bought the same one to help me get into the cargo section of the van. Very sturdy and secure.

Meets the need
