We bought this hand held shower sprayer as part of a complete renovation of our master bedroom shower. After much searching, we bought this unit as part of the renovation. The renovation included the following Delta products: 1. Delta Faucet T27967-SS Ara Angular Modern Monitor 17 Series Valve Trim with 6-Setting Integrated Diverter, Stainless 2. Delta RP53496SS Touch-Clean Raincan Showerhead, Stainless 3. Delta KB5000-TR-SS HydraChoice Touch-Clean Spray Head with Trim and Rough-in, Brilliance Stainless (3 units for body sprays) 4. Delta Faucet 50570-SS Wall Elbow Square, Stainless 5. Delta Faucet U4999-SS Shower Arm and Flange, Stainless 6. Delta Faucet R22000 Multichoice Universal with Integrated Diverter Rough 7. Delta Faucet 5-Spray Touch-Clean H2Okinetic Wall-Mount Hand Held Shower with Hose, Stainless 55140-SS (this product that is being reviewed) I mention all the products, because if you are looking for a nice modern looking shower with square style components, water temperature regulation, and the ability to have six different function options (i.e. handheld shower and overhead rain shower, handheld shower only, handheld shower and body sprays, etc.), then this package of items that I have listed is everything you will need and looks great. Truly, I was very happy with everything about the new shower renovation, including the Delta hand held shower The functions of the handheld shower were great. There is a spray option that creates a powerful single stream, which is great for cleaning out a razor head or spraying things down with force if you are cleaning the shower. There is also a three spout spray function where each of the sprays come out like if you had a garden hose with your thumb over a portion of the spout (this was a very nice function as it rinses soap off one's body with great efficiency and speed). However, about 4 months ago (approximately 1 year into ownership), the button on the hand held shower unit which switches between the different functions just stopped functioning entirely. It is now stuck on a single setting and cannot be changed. This occurred despite the fact that the hand held shower has never been dropped and has been treated with the utmost care. I am giving the product 3 stars, because when it was working correctly I would have considered it a 5 star item. However, the fact that the selector button stops selecting within the first year of usage is a defect that I believe lowers the value of the item. I do not want to give it 1 star in the event that I just got a defective unit, but if there are similar complaints from others than I would suspect that there may be a defect generally with the unit versus my particular unit. Other than that, I want to mention one last thing.... I went back and forth when doing the renovation about the correct color to choose for the Delta products. Most of our bathroom is in a brushed nickel color, and so we wanted to make sure that the shower component matched. Oddly enough, brushed nickel was the correct color if I were buying HansGrohe or another reputable brand. However, with these particular Delta products (listed above), the correct color to approximate brushed nickel was Delta's stainless color. They have an option for polished nickel, but that does not at all resemble brushed nickel. Just FYI for other buyers when deliberating over color selection. We were very happy with the color and how it matched the rest of the bathroom products.
