Get this, not blendjet!!
I purchased this after buying the Hamilton beach mini blender and blendjet (threw that one in the trash after a months use!) This thing is what all the others claim to be! I love this it's compact so I can leave it out without a big footprint or put in a drawer. It's perfect for a smoothie for one or blending up small recipes that call for a blender. It's really powerful and I like that you control the blend by pushing the bottle down. Please forgive my rant about the blend jet! I'd say that was one of my worst purchases ever!! Because it's cordless I was constantly running out of battery and would need to charge mid blend (there's no battery life indicator) the dreaded red light would constantly come on indicating it's stuck and it wasn't powerful at all (forget about blending ice!) One 15 second cycle was never enough to do a job, more like 3-4 cycles. It was just a hot mess of a machine! The Hamilton beach just isn't as strong. I'm keeping that one as a backup. If you don't need to be cordless (I never felt the need to blend anything on my way to pick up my kids from school!) Go with this Dash model over all the others!

Powerful little guy!
I love this little blender! I wish that the cup was *slightly* larger so I could shove more things into it, but it's a good single-serving blender, super easy to use, takes up no space and works quickly. Happy with myp urchase.

Great for healthy juice drinks! UPDATE: IT DIED
UPDATE: Unfortunately, after only a few uses, this blender proved it was as flimsy as it looks! It died, just after the return window closed! Fortunately, Amazon kindly allowed me to return it anyway, since it was only just a few days past the date. Bummer is I've now wasted my frozen fruit and coconut water that I paid through the nose for at Costco! Now I need to shop another brand. My Mother bought one too, so I hope hers lasts longer than mine did! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I used this for the first time with these individually bagged frozen fruit from Costco and added coconut water to them. My Mum was with me and now she wants to buy one. You could buy two and keep one frozen for later. The extra motor you could store in case the first breaks. The motor isn’t that strong and I thought well considering you spend the times more for an electric toothbrush which needs replacing almost every year, it’s not bad. I had a vitamin (burned in my house fire during the lightning storms), but when I made smoothies it was always too much and there was waste, and nothing to carry your individual drink in. The only things I’d change if the manufacturer is paying attention is: 1) make them 14 ounces, 2) include a hike in the cap for a plastic or metal straw, or have a sip hoke with a cap, and 3) have a second Togo cup.

Upon the first couple uses…
This is no vitamix but none of us were expecting that right? I used crushed ice and it does well with all by the largest chunks. Its absolutely fine for quick make-and-run-out-the-door protein smoothies. It has no guts, don’t set unreasonable expectations. I hope it lasts!

Not good for thick foods
I ordered it Feb 2023. It has work perfectly until now. I tried blending a thick food (yogurt and pudding mix) and it slowed the motor down and started smelling like plastic burning. I took the bottle off and it was smoking. It’s good for smooth things or juices or dressings but I would NOT use it to blend something thick. I’m unsure if it will ever work properly again or if it’s safe to use which is disappointing.

So cute! But small
I got this for my travel trailer and it’s adorable! Even smaller than I imagined. Much smaller than the little Hamilton beach mini blender I already have, and also the motor sounds way stronger… the old one sounds like it’s struggling as soon as you start to blend, whereas this one sounds healthy and tough, like it can take it. The cup is awfully small, considering you have to leave space inside for expansion displacement. Which means I may need to have more than one smoothie throughout the afternoon. I’ve only used thus far with protein powder, milk and strawberries and no ice, but I don’t usually use ice or anything frozen anyway so not sure how important that is for me. I’ll have to freeze some bananas to test that out, which I may use occasionally. I use mostly for protein meal replacements just to make them smooth, and not for thick smoothies or milkshakes. I like that it’s only 150 watts so if I need to use off grid with my jackery power station 300 it won’t drain it right away. I also love the sound the tiny suction cups make when they release from the counter. I would assume at some point one or more of these will go missing, but maybe I will be surprised. I have other Dash mini appliances that are tough and have stood the test of time so I’m hoping this one will too. Will update if anything goes wrong. So far so good! Update 2/20/22: Alright after a few weeks of using this blender it’s fatal flaw has proved to be it’s size. It’s just not big enough for me to make a whole meal replacement smoothie in. It’s a hassle to have to make 2 smoothies. If they had a larger cup size that could be used with this blender it’d be perfect. It’s great in every way but the cup size. Update 9/21/22: Well, I’ve stopped using this because of its size. It’s just not practical. It’s unfortunate. I wish I hadn’t bought it and had purchased a slightly larger one instead
