Why oh why does this dress need a body suit bottom with elastic leg openings?

I chose this dress because it looked easy to wear and chic. What I found is that inside the seam of the waist is a body suit bottom with a snap on crotch. Why? The slit is not high enough to warrant the body suit. The elastic in the leg openings of the body suit make my thighs pop out, rather than giving me a sleek look this design should have given me. I found the same body suit incorporated in the Kamali Diana long sleeve gown, also a very forgiving fabric and shirring that does not need a body suit bottom given it is a long gown. Even the worse panty lines I've ever shown wearing a dress do not compare to the unsightly thigh bulge this gives me as if I were wearing a thick swimsuit bottom. Never a mention of this feature in the item description! Back it goes.

Trop petit, transparent, le tissus ne tient rien. Étiquetage de chine. C n’est pas une norma kamali!
