Terrific value!

I was nervous about buying these very reasonably priced boots for a trip to the upper peninsula in Michigan, where it was freezing. I didn't want to be cold, and I didn't want the wetness seeping in. The shoes were perfect! Very durable and very comfortable. I would buy another pair if needed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these boots. I received many compliments, and when I shared what they cost, people were surprised because they are very attractive and quite functional - perfect for snowy, wet weather. I sized up so that I could wear thick socks. Don't hesitate to buy them they are perfect and very affordable.

Kept my feet warm and dry

The fit

I love these boots. They fit perfectly. I always have difficulty getting shoes to fit as I wear 11wide. They seemed to be warm enough though with no snow this winter that is just a guess. The fit was most important to me. Pleased

can't beat warm feet

Boots arrived on time just before our snow & cold temps. Perfect, lightweight yet very warm. No heavy sock needed in these boots (I guess you could if you needed). I'm giving them a 4 star rating due to the strange long laces. The laces that came with the boots look like something you'd put on sneakers & they are white. Really? The boots I ordered are light grey, white laces looked dumb & I'll change them. Overall nice boots, nice looking and comfy.

Nice boot, but...

Definitely order your normal shoe size, cuz I listened to other recommendations and ordered a half size up. To big! My heel lifts up when I walk. In order to solve this problem is to either wear 2 thick socks or a very thick wool sock. The foot bed could use more cushion. So I will insert one! Other than that, a very good looking boot and excellent + made!

Gorgeous, warm and comfy

I loved those. I actually bought the taller version first, and then this one at a good price. It’s comfortable - my feet are incredibly fussy, everything gives them blisters and such. I’m a size 10 with a bit of a wide feet (wider right before the toes area) and got them in 10.5. They’re roomy but not in a bad way, I can easily slide my feet in with heavier socks on. Because they are light I don’t feel like I’m dragging my feet as I do with my duck boots from the famous Maine brand, and I feel they’re a bit “bouncy”, giving me decent support. I walk a lot and I walk everywhere, and I’ve had them on for weeks now, sometimes all day long, with no discomfort whatsoever and no break in period required. They feel a bit too firm around the ankles at first, but I actually found this good, giving me proper support. They seem to be water resistant at the very least, having walked under light rain and stepping into puddles with no problem. Decent traction, tested on wet, mild hikes with some steep bits. They look cute, so I don’t have any problems going anywhere (friends’s houses, college, etc) with them. Highly recommended, they’re now my go-to cold weather boots - for the record, I got them instead of the omnipresent weatherproof Chelsea boot (you know which one). I’ve tried a pair of those and despite the fact that they’re sold as a “go with everything” model, they kinda made me look frumpy/sloppy and they definitely did not do any favours for my rather larger calves, making my ankles look too skinny in comparison. Despite being a “sporty” kind of boot, the Ice Maiden looked far more discreet and flattering on me.

Comfort and stable support

These fit perfectly. I ordered size 9. My feet measure 10 inches in length from back of heel to tip of longest toe, 4 inches across ball of foot, 3 inch heel width. I added a moulded 1/2 inch heel insole and now they fit snugly and really support all around my ankle. I feel so stable in these. They are quite light. I bought them for winter and hope they will be non-slip on ice, as I had a bad fall this past winter. I will update my review next winter. I enjoy wearing them so much, I am wearing them in the spring weather. They hit in all the tight places without being too tight. Great value. I can’t believe I ordered footwear online and they fit. I am ordering some light Columbia hiking boots for summer walks as Columbia seems to be a good shoe last for my foot.
