Worth the Wait

I. LOVE. THESE. SHIRTS. I bought my first one close to 10 years ago - it was a beautiful robin’s egg blue — I wore it layered over everything from t-shirts to running gear. It was the perfect over-shirt - the long sleeves kept me warm in air conditioning and the vents and buttoned rolled sleeve tabs kept me cool in searing Florida heat. The Tencel nylon never clung to me if l got sweaty. The front pockets were the perfect size for my cell phone. Best of all, the color went with everything. Then, two things happened — the Covid pandemic disrupted supply chains, and I lost this favorite blue overshirt. I tried to get another one, but they just weren’t available. I ordered one on Amazon and the website said they were temporarily out of stock, but would charge my account only when the shirt shipped. That was in 2020. Every six months or so I would get a notice from Amazon asking if I still wanted the shirt, and I would have to renew the order. Early in 2022, I got a notice saying it would arrive in about 10 days, but then something went wrong and they said that was a mistake. It was still not available. Did I still want the shirt? I renewed the order again, and forgot about it. Fast forward to mid-January, 2023. It had been more than two-and-a-half years. I had put in orders for many other items on Amazon in the interim. Columbia changed the design and fabric of their fishing shirts for women, and my favorite one was simply not for sale at any brick and mortar stores anymore. I was not expecting delivery information from Amazon on my shirt. ever… but then one day last week, there it was. Your Tencel nylon Columbia fishing shirt will arrive in about a week, the email said. And today, it was left at my doorstep. I feel like I have been reunited with a long lost friend. The world has made a tiny move to right itself today, and I am happy, and back in my favorite shirt.

Great Shirt

I have a white shirt just like this that I bought years ago which was 100% cotton. Time to replace and saw that this was listed as 100% cotton. It's NOT..it does have cotton but it's a blend. I still love it. I would say that it runs about a half size maybe even a full size big. I'll keep the large because I like shirts oversized. Just ordered the khaki.

? The size chart?

I went to the product website and looked at the company size chart for this shirt (the one with the product left me in doubt of what size to order.) I ordered a 2x; bust measures 48" and the shirt fits very well. There is no bust gapping or snugness in the shoulders. The fabric appears to be quality and the stitching is neat; it is lightweight enough for me to wear it in hot weather and fits loose enough that I can wear a t-shirt or thermal underneath. This is important to this broad shouldered, busty gal. I ordered 2 in different colors and I am pleased

Muy bien en todos los aspectos. Tiempo de entrega, calidad del producto, originalidad. La única observación q puede servir de ayuda a los demás es que pidan una talla menor a la que normalmente usan. Ejemplo: si ordinariamente usas talla M, en esta camisa pido CH

Talla XS

Me encantó la camisa, es de excelente calidad y el color hermoso, la pedí un domingo y decía que llegaría en 9 días pero llegó en sólo 5 días. Leí los comentarios que decían que debías escoger una talla menos para que te quedara bien debido a que venían amplias, así que me pedí la talla XS cuando normalmente soy S. Cuando me la supe me quedó excactamente a la medida, ni chica ni grande, casi como si la hubira mandado a hacer para mí. Personalmente creo que si hubiera pedido la talla S, en vez de la talla XS hubiera sido mejor para mí, ya que soy estudiante de geología y durante el trabajo de campo necesito ropa que me permita mucho movimiento y esté más holgado a mi cuerpo. Si tu situación es parecida a la mía creo que es mejor que pidas la talla que eres normalmente, y aunque te quede un poco más grande ¿quién quiere subir y bajar cerros con una camisa que le quede justo a la medida?

I am A fan of Columbia clothing. Love this shirt. I do find the sizing inconsistent with Columbia and always chose to size up, as I dislike tight clothing. I got a size large and it’s perfect for my wear; either buttoned up or unbuttoned as a cover up. Ended up getting another color also.
