Thin tops
The top of the flip flop is very thin and digs into the skin. The men's version is thicker and more comfortable.

Why are these straps so narrow
UPDATE Probably a good idea to wear something for a while before reviewing it, which I now have, and these are quite uncomfortable. The straps are very narrow, as noted previously, and being rubber they dig right into the top of your foot, or certainly my foot. Could they be doctored with some felt padding or something? Maybe, but why bother when there are surely better options. Some Columbia sandals I bought four or five years ago were purely terrific, so this is disappointing. I can't recommend these. Live and learn.

Sole easily stained.
Great flip flop but a little tight around the toes which does ease up as you wear them. Unfortunately the white sole gets dirty very quickly. I returned.

Had to return, order 1 size larger especially if you have wide feet. Very thick, not saying that’s a good or bad thing as I didn’t get to actually feel them since they didn’t fit

Comfort Sport Flip with Ergonomical Construction
Test walk and run for the first time, no blister or broken skin. The flip sandal followed foot well, even up and down stairs. More comfortable and sportive than expected. Pros: Scientifically constructed footwear designed with foot anatomy in mind; Beautiful arch support and secure heel cup; Sufficient space around foot to allow foot movement within a safe range; Flexible material functions as shock absorber, provides both comfort and protection. Cons: Due to the flexibility of the material, the heel section drops a bit and makes flip-flop sound when going down stairs.
