Also works with a 2023 Rav4 Prime

Installed this on a new 2023 Toyota Rav4 Prime and it fits and works perfectly. I had no issues. Easy installation. It took longer to get the panels removed than to wire it in. C56434.

Great kit for the 2019 RAV4

Well designed for this model vehicle and perfect fit. Simple to install once the vehicle covers are removed. Running the wire from the battery back to the rear compartment was the hardest task due to lack of work space under the vehicle. Try to get the vehicle up on ramps or over a low spot.

Pretty easy to install after watching a video. Price is a bit high, but you don’t have to cut into factory wiring which is why I bought this.

Despite what Amazon says it works on a 2022 Rav4 Prime,

I was nervous making this purchase since the Amazon bot told me this is not compatible. And there was nothing that was. The Curt website was not clear and they did not answer a question I posted. I bought it anyhow, and I'm here to tell you it does work. Installation instructions were one step above a 3rd generation mimeograph and I could not get the double sided tape to peel. Not my wife, either. But once you figure out which connector is which, everything plugged right together. The battery connector needed a bit of creativity to make it work on this car, but it does. I read after I finished : ( that some folks put the box thingie and ground wire on the right side, not the left as I did and the instructions specify. That would definitely be a little easier. There is better access on the right. Did I already say the instruction suck? Thank you Youtube.

Relatively easy install in a 2022 SE Prime

I installed this in my 2022 Rav4 Prime SE. The hardest part of the install is removing all the trim. This is necessary to run the wiring. The included instructions aren't the best, so I recommend finding a good YouTube video (there are quite a few out there). The install for a Prime is the same as any of the Hybrid models. The hybrid install is easier than the combustion installs because the battery is located in the rear hatch (direct power is necessary due to the need for a converter module, which is part of this wiring harness) - so no need to run wiring to the front of the car. Overall the install took me a couple of hours. Most of this harness is plug- and- play, though a splice is necessary for the wiring to battery connection. All necessary connectors are included. We did use some electrical tape and electrical tubing (not included) to protect the wiring, as well as a couple screws for mounting the converter module (they provided some useless double-sided tape for that).

Uhaul and toyota wants 600$

Disconnect the wire harness and loosen the battery terminal without disconnecting the battery to connect the wires to the battery. After the battery is connected to the wire, tighten the battery and then connect the harness. And you will not blow your hybrid system. Or else you will have a bad day and pay for it. The reciever hitch and wire harness is under 250$ on Amazon. It is 600$ from uhaul toyota. And uhaul will not install any wire harness to any hybrids because they don't know how to not blow your system.

Yes, it fits Rav4 2020 hybrid

For rav4 hybrid the installation is much easier since the battery is locate on the trunk passenger side.

Works, but quite a job to install

Works perfectly, but it's quite a job to install, particularly running the power lead under the vehicle from the rear fender to the battery. It came with a large piece of mounting tape to stick the electronics module to the inside of the fender, but the tape adhesive was completely dried out. Happily the module has a mounting tab, and I found an unused mounting hole to bolt it to. They gave me plenty of wire for the connector, and I set it up to stay inside the tire well since I don't use a trailer all that often, and preventing connector corrosion seemed like a great idea.

Good wiring harness

Worked well on my Rav4 Hybrid - but should have left the plug inside the trunk area and not gone with the hole through the grommet as the plug is too large for the grommet hole. So that was a PIA and I do not like the hook-up being under the vehicle exposed to the weather. In addition the cover jacket that protects the plug itself is a very poor fit where it attaches to the harness - easy to lose. Install took about 2 hours as pulling everything apart and replacement is a real chore.
