Great replacement

High quality replacement. My boat trailer coupler was well used and very floppy. I tightened it up a little bit, but it really didn't help much. I decided to try this replacement coupler mechanism. The cost was really affordable and to be honest I didn't expect much in the way of quality. I was so wrong! This is a better replacement part than what came on my trailer OEM. Very happy with this coupler. Highly recommend it!!! Instructions were simplistic, fairly easy to install, and made my trailer feel better than new when hooking up. 100% buy it, you will not be disappointed.

TEST before you pull with this

I had to reuse the bottom retainer piece from my old one because this one wouldnt hold the ball fully. You could pull it out after latching down. TEST before you pull!!

Works better than the original

The main spring was difficult to keep compressed while installing on the trailer. However, it is much easier to remove the trailer from the hitch because the clam is 3/4th the width of the original. The original was the full width of the mount.

Cheap Cost, Cheap Product

No delivery issues. Bought to replace rusted trailer coupler. Parts should be galvanized like the trailer. Rusted soon after install. Safety chain and hooks rusting quicker than the body. Fits and carries the load. But will need to be replaced in a year. Manufacturers need to build parts to last longer, so we aren't filling land fills.

Easy Install

Broke my old coupler after I hit the trailer tongue it with my snowplow. This fit perfectly and was easy to install (5 minutes). Make sure you get the springs and retainer pieces in the correct order during the install.
