Decent but could be better

This is a decent target but could be improved in a few areas. It is really fun to use though, much more than just punching holes in paper. It works fine and the falling/reset feature is pretty fun to use and instantly lets you know you made a hit. I did find that the base and legs are a bit rickety and would be really nice if they were made from stronger/thicker steel. I'd also like to see some kind of protective shield that covers the base and legs and protects them from stray rounds. The AR500 steel seems on the soft side to me. I've got an array of AR500/AR550 targets and this one pitted a bit more than expected. It's fine but I don't expect it to last as long as true US made AR500 steel. This may be "China Spec" AR500 if you know what I mean.

I wish this were 1/2 inch thick, and the base that you bolt together were made from a bit thicker plate as well. The plate springs back reliably, and as long as you're a decent aim, the hardware sticking out the front of the plate, and the stand won't be too big of an issue. Eventually, with enough stray hits, you'll have to replace hardware, and the legs will be damaged. I'm not a big fan of the angle for close ranged shooting, so I keep at a further distance for this target. Definitely buy some spray paint with this to be able to see each new shot. Assembly is easy enough. You'll need two wrenches to fasten the nylock nuts. Putting in the spring scratches the paint a bit, and is easier if you have a second person to help with moving the plate to line up holes. Made in China.

Nice Pop Up Target from Reputable Company

This is a really well-built pop up target from a reputable vendor. The materials are solid without being overly heavy or cumbersome. The unit assembles quickly with a few basic hand tools. Once together it transports easily and can be put into action in seconds. The bright yellow color is easily spotted from a distance. It handles PCC (Pistol Caliber Carbine) rounds along with larger rifle rounds such as 5.56, 7.62x39, and 308 with no problem. I like this unit so much I'm going to order some additional ones to practice engaging multiple targets at different distances.

Great Heavy Duty Rifle and Pistol Target

The heavy-duty rifle and pistol target is great for plinking! With a resounding ping, bullets bounce off and the prairie dog bends over and then springs back, ready for the next round. The unit comes in a heavy-duty box with the four legs, base, prairie dog and tight spring. All metal parts are 3/8" metal and powder coated for long lasting enjoyment. It takes four bolts to assemble the legs (note nuts are metric but bolts are not). Then wrangle the prairie dog to the base using the remaining large bolt while compressing the bounce-back spring. It might take some finagling to get the bolt through the holes with the spring compressed. Then tighten the bolt and you are ready to shoot! Setup three or four at different distances and play a round of wack-a-mole!

heavy duty, kind of bulky

This is a heavy duty plinking target. One thing I wish it did was fold up a bit for transport. A 22 round hardly makes this thing budge. Takes about 15 minutes to put together and tighten all the bolts up. It comes with two heavy duty stakes to anker either the front or back down. I still like the metal targets that hang from a horizonal bar bar and spin when you hit them.
