Perfect for little tappers!

Got this from my little girl for her dance class, she has wide feet and her other top shoes were too small. I purchase these a half a size up and they fit perfect with room to grow!

Saved my time

Typically we go tot he Dance studio approved store and they fit the shoes to my daughter, which does have value. The shop has limited hours and occupancy due to covid, and we didn't know if our studio would open up or not this year. With 4 days notice I was able to make an educated guess on what size to order based on how last years shoes fit. They arrived in time for the first class and fit perfectly.

My daughter wears street shoe size 9. I read other reviews saying these ran small so I ordered the 9.5 and 10. The 9.5 just barely fit lengthwise, but was too narrow. The 10 fit better and gives her room to grow. My daughter likes to wear them and she is picky about her shoes. This is her first year of tap. These are the required shoes for her lessons. They appear to be well made. I will update in a few months on how they are wearing. Please click "helpful" if you find my review helps make your decision.

Buy them a full size larger

Amazon makes returns/exchanges really simple, so I first bought these a half size larger than my daughter's "street shoes." They fit her perfectly -- meaning that they won't in a couple months. :) Just exchanged these for a size 12. As for the X, if this means extra wide, they aren't. She has a typical width foot and they were just right. They seem comfortable and well made from a quick try-on. These are the required shoes for her tap class, and are priced at $47 at our nearby dance shop (including the dance school discount), as much as I like to frequent local businesses, I was happy to find them at this price!

Use The Size Chart

So before I purchased these I read the reviews and seen alot of complaints about the shoe running too small or too big... So, I used the chart and measured my daughters foot. They fit perfect! The only things is the strap seem a little flimsy compared to the shoe which seems very well made.

The tap makes a great sound. However

These tap shoes are definitely high quality. The tap makes a great sound. However, they are gigantic. My daughter wears a 1 in street shoe and the 1x is way too big lengthwise, socks don't even help. They feel like at lease a half size too big. I have yet to try the 12.5 because they don't have prime on them but I'm guessing that those will even leave room to grow.

Nice leather!

Great shoes. Just what I needed for my daughter’s tap class. Bloch is always consistent, Tap shoe fit my daughter perfectly!
