Scat, cat!

I have other Beistle Halloween ephemera - some originals, some recent reprints like these, and some I reproduced in construction paper before reprints were available; these Hep Cats will fit right in. They are stylized black, orange and beige images copyrighted in 1941, each cat 17" tall and die cut with graphics on both sides - one side glossy, the other matte. As pictured, there are 4 different cats; such a fun display of vintage Halloween decor I am considering having them framed. I might only note that the older, original decorations I have are printed on slightly thicker cardboard, some with embossed 3D effects and prepunched holes for display, which these do not have. I received them in a huge box, in which they must have bounced around a bit because the corner of one decoration was bent, but I have packed them away carefully and look forward to bringing them out again come October.

Not For Cardmaking!

I was searching for card supplies to make my Halloween cards. I guess this was a suggested item, a people also bought item. So not only did I click them into my cart, I clicked 2 sets. Didn’t put 2 and 2 together because these were so cheap in price. They arrived today and made me laugh. I realized my mistake in not reading the full description that they’re 17” tall. Well, maybe they shouldn’t have been suggested in cardmaking supplies! They are cute tho.
