Does not rotate on a ball bearing.

This seems sturdy enough and will probably work OK, but there are two things: It does not turn real smoothly because it DOES NOT rotate on a ball bearing; it just slides around on a plastic washer. The pin that came with it does not fit thru the holes so I had to drill the holes out to a bit larger size.

Finally the correct size

Glad to have found this wheel for a 1 5/8 inch post--why are they so rare? And so expensive? This seller had one in perfect condition--but an open box. Serves our purpose perfectly!

Worked for Me

Amazon actually sent me the wrong size wheel (2000lb and 2" cup, but it ended up to be perfect. I had ordered an Adkins wheel that was supposed to fit, but was loose and sloppy. I thought "maybe I have a smaller shaft than 2". I didn't have the trailer where I was so I simply ordered this wheel for the smaller shaft. Fortunately, they sent the 2" instead and it fit much snugger than the other wheel I had. Adkins was oversized and this one fit well. So for me the mistake was perfect. I did have to re-drill the holes to match up with my tongue jack post leg, but that was not a problem.

Works, but I wish it was metal.

I bought this so I could move my little vintage trailer around in my driveway. It attaches very easily and swivels nicely. I would reccomend a smooth surface to roll it on though. I am on asphalt and the end of my driveway collects cinders and gravel from the hill above. the plastic well is embedded with those little bits now. It seems to be holding up well overall though. Good purchase! Tip: Be sure to measure your jack shaft diameter and get the right caster!

it swivels and rolls easily on a hard surface

My jack stem is 1 3/4" outside diameter. No one makes a caster wheel that fits, so I had to weld a thin-wall pipe insert into the caster so it would fit. After doing that the caster worked as advertised. You must be on a hard surface for it to roll even with only 180# tongue weight. The caster is built well, it swivels and rolls easily on a hard surface. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it had fit a 1 3/4" jack.
