Good Trailer Setup With Junction
If you like to build things yourself or need to repair an existing trailer, this is a good option. You get the full 7-pin plug with an 8 foot cable and a junction box. If you are handy with wiring, this should be a synch to hook up the needed wires to the box. If you need help though, a quick online video could be the key to helping you get the most out of this setup. The cable feels durable and sturdy, yet flexible enough for its purpose. Be mindful of the different colored wires and make sure you connect the correct ones. Otherwise setup and usage is pretty straightforward.

Very heavy duty connector, cable, and junction box. Will be a great upgrade for my boat trailer.
I tow my 23' pilot house boat on a tandem axle trailer. The trailer came with the typical little four-conductor flat plug with four individual, unsheathed wires coming out of the back. While I had done what I could to make it a bit more rugged and professional looking, I realized that the ultimate answer would be to go with a 7-way, RV-STYLE trailer plug that matches the big socket on my truck (even though I would only need to use four of the conductors). This kit will be great for that conversion. Every bit of it is very heavy duty and appears to be of high quality. While the instructions say that there shoule be four open grommets to support bringing wires in from any of several directions, there were 8 such grommets included with mine, in addition to the closed rubber "grommets" that were preinstalled in all of the junction box openings. Having done a lot in the way of trailer wiring, I'll pass along some suggestions. Really be careful and thorough when physically attaching the wiring harness and cable to the frame of the trailer. You don't want there to be any possibility of the electrical connection lugs in the junction box ending up supporting the weight of wires. Everything should be tied down good right outsider of the box. Don't rely on Mickey Mouse solutions like double-sided tape. Use nuts, bolts, brackets, etc. I usually drill and tap the trailer frame to take threaded fasteners. The other thing I'll recommend is the use of dielectric silicone grease. You want it on the plug and on the connectors in the junction box. That's how you prevent water from causing corrosion. Some people say that you don't want dielectric grease because it's an insulator that will interfere with making good connections. They aren't electrical engineers. I am. The silicone grease is easily displaced by the conductors in the plug and socket, leaving it protecting those parts not in electrical contact. This is a very high quality kit and I think it will serve me well for many years.

Nice 7-way RV trailer junction box with 8' cable and appropriate sized conductors
This is a nice trailer to tow vehicle wiring harness. Typically you'd wire your trailer internal stop/turn/marker lights, electric brakes, and auxiliary power connections to this box and then the cable would connect to your tow vehicle via a 7-way bladed plug that is the current RV standard. The box can be located externally or internally to your trailer. The cable is 8 feet which may be longer than you'll need but if this is the case you can trim the cable to fit from the box end and reconnect it using the color-coded wires and very handy color-coded posts. There are also small labels that indicate the color and wire function in case the color coding chips away from the posts. The mounting and direction of cable feed from the box is also reconfigurable with removable/replaceable grommets on four sides of the box. The unit comes with 8 replacement grommets. Though the product description doesn't mention it, I was pleased to see the conductors are sized appropriate to their different functions. The Ground and Auxiliary power are 10 AWG, the brakes are 12 AWG and the stop/turn/reverse and marker lights are 14 AWG. The wire is stranded copper. It would have been nice if the wire was tinned, stranded copper but truthfully at this price point I would have been surprised.

Great replacement 7-Pin Trailer Plug for any trailer
The Avenemark 7 Way Trailer Plug with Junction Box was a perfect match for my 2019 Forest River Trailer. My trailer plug was giving me some connection issues, so I was checking on replacing it and found The Avenemark 7 Way Trailer on Amazon at a great price. Received it in 2 days and installed it within 45 minutes. Ran a few electrical tests and light checks--100% operational. The colored wires and codes were spot on! The quality was superior to others I've seen at Camping World and the packaging from the manufacturer was superior as well. I've already informed several of my veteran buddies and camping buddies. I am now a believer of Avenemark!

A great replacement for a worn trailer plug
I got this to replace the plug on my camper. The plug on my camper is about 10 years old and somewhat corroded and worn out. I know there are plugs that you can get to just cut the old one off and reuse your old cord but I feel like that's a shortcut and won't last as long as one of these complete assemblies. The contacts on this plug look very heavy duty and I think it should hold up just as good as the old plug did. I am planning on reusing the old connection box on my trailer to make the install simpler. This complete setup will have everything I need to do that. Very nice replacement.

Perfect plug for my trailer rewiring project
After 30+ years, the trailer wiring on my trailer is in bad shape. I'm replacing it with a five-wire harness. The five wires give me all of the needed lights, plus brakes. However, most trucks these days have a 7 pin connector. This plug will let me easily attach newer trucks to my trailer. The connectors on this plug, unlike some I've used, are solid when they're connected. These won't be wiggling loose going down the road! Whether your trailer has 4, 5, 6, or 7 wires; you'll be well-served by this plug.

VERY Heavy Duty!!
I was looking for a way to wire a brake light to my rear hitch-mounted spare tire. This is perfect...or maybe even overkill. The electrical cable is thick and long, which allows me to wrap it around the hitch post for extra security. Wiring the additional brake lights to the circuit box at the end of the cable will be quite easy and it comes with grommets to seal the ready-made holes where the wires from the lights will enter the box. The whole thing is really massive, well-made, and feels indestructible!
