I almost love these boots. The inside fold for the tongue and the lace loop are poorly located.

The inside fold for the tongue and the lace loop are poorly located. It presses on the inside top of your ankle bones and hurts. Walking more then a couple hundred feet leaves you with a bruise. I've tried moving the fold, shifting the tongue, not lacing that loop, and it still presses in. It's double sewed into the leather it sticks in way past everything else on the lining. It's just a poor design flaw.

SOLD!! Best boots I've ever worn!

I've been buying Carhartt and other brand "Logger Boots" for the last 10 years. By chance, my size was not available when it was time to purchase my new boots. I ended up taking a chance and spending about $30 more for a pair of Ariat. I am now an Ariat customer for life! best fitting, easiest to break in, and a very durable pair of boots! My only complaint is irrelevant ;) After 1.5years of wearing them, the seam above the heal between the rubber and the boot leather, finally gave way. What a shame, the rest of the boot still has plenty of life in it! I will definitely be taking them to a shoe repair place so I can get another year out of them. Until then, happy as I can be with my 2nd pair!

Disappointed you cannot exchange the boot for the next size up. It seems very well constructed, too bad to go up a size it's an additional $180? That isn't right. If you order, ensure you order at least a half size up. I own 3 other pair of Ariat cowboy boots, this transaction makes me rethink my loyalty. We shall see... I was looking forward to these. So I found them for $40 more in a 12 and got them. Revised my review to 3 stars. They don't offer a 12.5, the 12 is still somewhat tight, recommend going 1 full size up from what you normally wear. They are well constructed, comfortable, and seem like they will last a long time. Like I said earlier I own their cowboy boots, and if these hold up like those do, I'll have them for years to come. Still a little bitter with the pricing and lack of ability to exchange.

Good product. Durable.

My husband loves these boots. He needed a heavy boot for what he does for work which requires a lot of leg labor. He said they work well for adding a little extra weight when he needs to apply pressure with his feet. The front of the boots are starting to wear down but I don’t think that’s because of the boot but rather the type of work my husband has to do with his feet, stomping and kicking surfaces. Overall he said his toes feel much safer in these than the previous pair (steel toed) we bought him.

arrived with broken shoe laces

second pair of these particular boots. probably the best boots i have ever worn but when the boots arrived the shoe laces were broke.

Needs side zips

Only thing missing were side zips. The zippers make it very convenient. Shall see if they hold up as well as the XTR 8” Overdrive shoe.

Wore through insole after 1 month

My husband really liked these boots but he’s been wearing them for just about a month, NOT on a daily basis and there is already a hole the size of a quarter worn completely through sole of heel. Everything else about the boots seem to be holding up….if you consider only ONE MONTH worth of wear holding up.
