Perfect for Winter!

My family and I challenge ourselves to spend as much time outside as possible (our goal is 1,000 hours per year). Cold weather doesn't stop us from having fun outdoors! This is the perfect base layer under soccer uniforms, sweatshirts, or snowsuits! They are soft and keep their shape after washing. I highly recommend this shirt for your kids!

Good Quality/Moderate Value

The quality of this base layer crewneck top is good, but not quite on the level of similar more expensive brand name options from companies like Under Armour, Nike, The North Face, etc. This base layer would be great as a first layer for things like snow sports or even as a warmer base layer to be worn under a practice or game jersey/shirt for kids playing sports like soccer when it is chilly out. While the quality is good, it isn't the absolute best, so given that this isn't a top-tier product from a well-known name brand, the value is dependent on the price you can get. From browsing current options, some sizes/colors are selling for closer to $20, which is a decent value. However, some are selling for closer to $27, which I think is a bit too expensive for an off-brand base layer shirt of this quality. If this sold for around $15, I'd give it an enthusiastic endorsement as a great value option, but the pricing on some of the sizes and colors is at a point where you could get a slightly nicer brand name option for a similar price. If you can get this for $20 or less, it's a good value. If the size/color that you need is selling at full price, you may be able to find a better option at that price point.

Good for layering under a jacket or long sleeve shirt needs better sizing information

The sizing chart on both the package and the product page has waist, hip, and inseam measurements but no sleeve length provided. Inseam is usually the length of the pants leg measured from the crotch to the bottom of the pants on the inside seam of the leg. I measured the sleeve length on the top and it measures 30 inches (large size) and doesn't correspond to inseam measurements on the package. I would assume for a shirt just like a jacket or dress shirt the measurements for the chest and sleeve length provide the most useful information on what size to order. The waist and hip size for a shirt? Doesn't make sense to me or they are just using the measurement chart for their pants and printing it on the same package used for their tops. I went off the general size where it list size L corresponds to a general size of 14-16 for kids. They call it a power base layer so I assume you use it as the bottom or base layer under your shirt or jacket and the top does have a form fitting design. It doesn't fit like a compression shirt but is form fitting so you can wear it similar to a thermal shirt under a sweat shirt or jacket. The color is a nice deep blue and is good for use as a breathable undershirt or for wear while working out or outdoor activities in the cool weather. The sleeve length is 30 inches long (large size) so it won't hang or stick out past your shirt or jacket and is typical for thermal layered clothing.

A little pricey

I received this product for free in exchange for a timely and honest review. I have purchased Arctix fleece top bib overall snow pants numerous times in the past and have always been pleased. So - I felt certain I wouldn't be disappointed with this purchase. I bought this shirt in a size small for my 4 year-old grandson to wear under his hockey gear and also for outdoor winter play. The small is smaller than I expected. My grandson is not a big kid - 35 pounds and a little over 3 feet. This shirt fits him now so he will get wear out of it immediately. I hope he will still fit into it next year. It is stretchy, so he should get 2 seasons out of it. You might want to order a size up if you are on the fence about sizing. I really like the Arctix brand, and this base layer shirt meets those standards. I gave it 4 stars because it is really pricey. The Arctix snow pants I bought through Amazon were $24, so this shirt at $26 is expensive. However, these kinds of under layer shirts aren't that easy to find......especially in smaller sizes.

A decent base layer undershirt

This is a thin long-sleeve shirt that is perfect for layering under clothes in cold weather. I like the material that keeps you warm and is fairly water-proof. The price is a little high for what you get however. You can probably find something with a better quality at your local Target.

Good Base Layer for Skiing

This base layer top is made of soft, sturdy material without being too heavy and is breathable. The stitching is very solid/durable and the blue is a very vibrant color. The only reason we are giving it four stars is that it is too early to judge overall durability after multiple uses/washings. My son liked it so much, his father wants a set now. We received this item in exchange for an honest review of the product.
