False advertising!

In every picture (4) in the add it shows fish in aquariums with live plants! When I received the bottle the directions say do not use with live plants.... I refunded this product as I'm not going to risk causing more issues in my aquariums. The pictures are clearly false advertising and should be removed, disgusting sales tactics that will kill/destroy aquarium life done just to make extra money. I've been fish keeping for the last 36 years and never seen a Discus aquarium without live plants in it unless it's a holding tank... Out of principality I'll never buy anything API related again, this company values their bottom line more than their integrity.

Great product works like a charm and stabilizes water PH. I use multiple versions of this product depending upon the aquarium. Only thing I don't like is that they don't make a larger size for volume usage. We have 14 tanks at the moment and will be adding more in the future. on water change day we go through 100+ gallons. @API - Please make a larger size

It Works

I was having problems getting the PH down in my aquarium. We use well water and it had a PH upwards near 9. I tried several other things and while it brought it down, it was slow. The PH 6.5 works very well and keeps it stable. I use it every time I do a partial water change. The fish all seem to be happy too.

Great stuff...do not use with live plants

Warning...do not use if you have live plants in tank... I missed this no harm done as I have two aquariums one with and one without.

Works with caution

Be very careful when using with exotic plecos and other sensitive fish, it does work, but when you change the ph, you also change other parts of te water, after putting in ..from 6.0 to 6.5 in 5 mins...same evening my green phantom died ...coincidence maybe...wouldn't use again, but does work...just becareful. I gave it 4 stars because it does what it says...but if you have expensive fish , just do a water change ....

Stop playing the pH game!

A lot of people don't like using chemicals but I love this stuff and I know it has saved me and my fish a lot of worry. It doesn't mean you can stop monitoring parameters, but it helps a lot.

Perfect, solved our fish loss problem

Our waters pH from the tap is at the highest range on the test kits. At the time we were new to fish keeping and so we had problems with ammonia and nitrite, the additives we used lowered the pH to the lower range, but did not remain constant so it fluctuated from high to low, which when reading up on pH levels was very bad for the fish. From our research for our fish it seemed that a lower pH would be better for them, and to maintain it. This product has done just that, and remains constant at the 6.5 level between water changes which we do once a month and with that water change as per the instructions we add a little more. We had put off buying it for a long time because when reading up on pH it seemed difficult to maintain and could be more harmful to the fish if the levels did not maintain themselves and many believed it best to leave well alone, but we had suffered far too many fish losses and was desperate to try and get the tank into balance to keep the remaining fish alive and there is no doubt in our minds that using this product was the turning point for us, and we haven't had any more fish losses since using it, in fact the opposite we now have 25 babies born in the tank.

Buyer Beware

This product does not work for RO water aquariums. It did not bring the PH to 6.5 as stated but what it did bring up was the TDS levels really High. My TDS went up from 140 to 450 within a few days. Killed most of my shrimp. Luckily didn't lose any of my Zebra Plecos. I Dump the remainder out.
