Don't make up your mind on the bad reviews

I bought these on Dec 19th, 2022, here it's March 2023 and I have worn them everywhere from Church (that's why I bought them) to Golfing, not one problem yet, this will be a continuing review until they fall apart well see how good they are through this summer and beyond. So far they are good shoes the inserts took time to get used to they are rubber and since there are holes in the side of the shoe for water it's good, I'm not a fan of the hole in the side but I get why it's there. April 24,2023 I found this yesterday small holes in the fabric and the thread coming out of the side. Still in good working order. I tried to you'll the thread back bit I am unable to find it. I will update this review mid-summer of 2023.

Nice looking kicks

Stiffer than roadkill in winter. I curled mine up in a ball and stuck them under my mattress for a few days, feels a bit better. Definitely need to be broken in hard.

Get the half size don’t compromise

I ordered several pair to get my perfect fit They say order a half size up but I think that’s because they don’t have certain 1/2 sizes in stock I did that and they were completely too big These are not sized like Chuck Taylor’s I wear a 10 in Chucks and I found the 10.5 was the exact same fit The 10 was way too small and the 11 was clunky wide and sloppy but u could make it work if u didn’t mind shoes that don’t fit great I wear a 10.5 in almost everything else so these fit the same as we all know chucks run large and u have to size down a bit So I ended up not getting the black multicam I wanted as they conveniently only stock 10 and 11 But the tan camo does come in 10.5 and it’s a perfect fit The shoes are a bit clunky and not the same as chucks the toe pinches when bent but I assume they would break in and they seem good as of right now One last complaint is the rear finger pull on loop is huge and hooks your pants leg and keeps them up I’m going to razor knife them off or just wear them with shorts

Tactical Chucks

Surprisingly comfy and glad a size over. Fits perfectly and very useful especially since I work around a lot of rain and watery areas. Decent shows to travel too. Kinda like a boot like sneaker. Durable, no frays, and a lot of the materail seems to no hold water, except the laces, but those can be easily change out for water resistant ones. Drain ports make it easy to keep water from staying in. The insole is a rubberized material that wicks off water well, tho comfort is moderate. You can remove it, but be aware that the design is around letting water in and easily letting out to dry fast. Takes about 2-3 hours to dry, faster if you put it in direct sunlight. Overall, if you want some "combat" chucks then these are pretty cool to wear. Durable too so if you walk long periods and are in the elements, mainly water and mud, a lot these will serve you well. Oh and yes the material seems pretty similar to say a Crye JPC (Jumpable Plate Carrier).

Awesome shoes

I'm super happy with the Altama lows. I have a pretty wide foot and the 11.5 wides fit me like a glove (I typically wear 11.5 wide in boots and most sneakers). These are comfortable with and without socks on. I have not yet worn these in wet environs but I trust they'll be great for that, as designed. I am sure this will not ne my last pair of Altama boots.

This is my new favorite pair of sneaks!

Loved the look of these shoes when I stumbled onto them while searching for, "tactical sneakers". Most of today's sneakers look like spaceships for your feet. I just wanted something simple/old school. The Altama's definitely fit the bill in terms of appearance. Other reviews said they are narrow and to order up a size. I almost always wear a standard 9 1/2D. My feet aren't wide, but maybe a little bit on the wider side, as I rarely fit narrower cut shoes such as Nike. I wound up taking a flyer on 9 1/2 Wide Altama's. They arrived today and fit like a glove! They are plenty long enough and the width is perfect. I will be ordering another color in the low cuts and also a pair of the high tops. These shoes are amazing! I generally don't get excited about footwear, but the Altama's are an exception to the rule. They are awesome and worth getting excited about!

Comeode leggere resistenti. Hanno una presa perfetta al terreno. Le sto usando tutti i giorni soprattutto per escursioni. Vanno bene dappertutto pietraie, terreni sabbiosi , terreeni sdruccilevoli, roccia... Veramente ottime. Ho preso anche la versione più alta. Consigliate vivamente.
